At Christmas the money that is collected is split three ways, Firstly the International Head Quarters of the salvation Army takes a percentage via DHQ, then the Corps that is collecting takes a percentage and if a band was out as sometimes they are not which means they have none, would also take a percentage. Band money is very strictly regulated. All the money that is collected is to go towards the Armys work whether International or local. God loves you so CHEER UP!!

Do people realise that the collection taken at Christmas by the Salvation Army goes to the band?
Also - never buy a War cry - 10% goes to their divisional headquarters for admin, 30% to pay for the printing of the paper and 60% to pay for the running costs (heating and lighting and ministers salary) of their local Corps (church building).
Salvationist's themselves finacially give very very little and most members do no social work as folk think, but spend their time in music.
