the twin fires both cylinders at the same time so there is a common crankcase to suck in the fuel. that also makes it hard to start as both cylinders never get the same fuel. No balance shafts are needed. the twin is only really for show i think. it has less power, harder to start and more expensive
I have a dzy twin, its very easy to start.
I have it in a Pitts S12.

@4strokemuggy not only more prop on the twin but also running pitts mufflers on the vs. header and can setup on the single which makes more power
