  • I would love to see a movie that has virtual reality in it. It would be a cool type of movie. Actors would look different, maybe a bit unrecognizable.

  • Those were canon cameras

  • The journalist is sooo hooot !

  • the girl is damn hot and she seems smart as well, a perfect 10. Can't wait for VR to become a part of daily life (not only being used in movies). We could actually explore totally non-existing worlds, witness historic moments, be stars in a movie ourselves or be a rockstar or whatever we damn well want.

  • Wow! Its amazing...well done

  • Fantástico!

  • thumbs up if you said "holy @#$!" at 5:00

  • I love technology.

  • 4:58 - That's CRAZY fast!

  • mike mozart/jeepers media music

  • Leah D'Emilio's HOT :D

  • The sequences at 6:05 are not convincing me. They look way too artificial!

Too perfect. Imperfection in the movements would be the goal.

  • Nikon cameras? You can clearly see those are canon cameras :D

  • god shes fuckin hot.....i also cant wait until this tech is applicable to games in a practical sense...maybe 20 years from now...possibly more

  • @toolkills

More like 5 and 10 years.

The reason why this is going to take this long is down to computing power. and internet band width.

2020 computers will be in the peta flop stage and internet bandwidth will be in the giga stage.

using cloud computing will also allow for other tools that will go beyond what is in these videos.

  • I struggled to pay attention from about 4:45 onwards. 8P

"Miss D'Emilio, could you come into my office, please?"

  • Damn shez HOT :D

  • the five people who disliked this are probably paranoid about the future of technology.

  • @UltraInformer or not

  • 5 people don't like this video. I wonder how is that possible.

  • @AdeonC I preferred when there was a note (1 to 5 stars), because there was not such a repetitive silly remark "ho look some people disagree with my opinion, I wonder how it is possible, maybe it is because [insert any irrelevant idea here]"

  • @becomepostal Then I guess said remark isn't present in my previous comment.

  • @AdeonC Define "said remark" precisely.

  • @becomepostal Hm... no, thanks. It's youtube.

  • @AdeonC OK. So now I can state that I don't know exactly what is the "remark" you talked about. I can only make guess, as long as you don't want to communicate more properly or precisely. Whatever, people who leave the common "X people don't like the video" bring us an information already available and still get a lot of thumbs up by other people who still haven't figured out that it was almost pure useless noise. How inefficient. Then you said it, it's YouTube.

  • @becomepostal You're right, it's all redundant.

I think it's the comment section design's fault. Tight characters limit, thin text width that makes small comments look huge, the trolls and rating system demotivate people from typing valuable opinions. Normally, either you get gross replies like "STFU shitbag whore" or your comment gets hidden (thumbsdown'd) if it doesn't match popular belief.

Sooner or later you will also give up, just like I did some time ago.

It's youtube, not a real forum.

  • @AdeonC The system changed recently. At first I thought It was worse before, when the most voted comments weren't highlighted. Now I realize these highlighted comments are of little value, so the amelioration is quite weak.

  • it's the music from that toy guy's videos

  • Eventually, you'll be bale to go somewhere and have a 3d version of yourself made for a small fee and be able to import it into many different environments/applications.

  • this is why you should never trust the news media.....like september 11

  • fuckin youtube info babes

  • omg nice tech:O

  • @Jahooba, you're right, Leah is very beautiful!

In Europe, there is a bunch of universities as german Fraunhofer Institute or some famous Max Planck Institute which have (had?) research teams in the same area, photogrammetry and 3D rendering. I've been watching a similar "demo" on a terrestrial TNT german TV except the girl who introduced the documentary was not as beautiful & young as Leah

The artistic/scientific aspect of this post is OUTSTANDING! I presume there's a big deal of work behind it

  • Wow, that's some cool technology. Dr. Debevec is one of those people that has revolutionized digital art. I remember creating HDRI renderings back when it was sort of a new and exciting concept, to various degrees of success.

And oh my that Leah D'Emilio is beautiful!

  • Also has the potential to frame someone, like doing a robbery or something. Could be a dangerous tool in the wrong hands.

  • The military uses this technique to discredit opponents by putting them in less than leadership positions then spreading the video/clip to their followers. It's the DMI or Department of Mis-Information.

"Is this true?" Of course not, our world is more like 'Leave it to Beaver', or 'Father knows best'. silly.

  • Basically he says basically quite a lot :P

  • Basically you're right, basically.

  • I have that same habit when trying to explain something really complicated to someone.

  • that's just so cool

  • just think about how awesome the video games are gona get

  • @evileagle76 they are already quite awesome

  • @evileagle76 yeah. they are very poor for me now.

  • @evileagle76

    L.A. Noire!

  • superb video....thanx for uploading

  • Hot interviewer chick!

  • Endless potential for propaganda :)

  • How can a face kill me?

  • Paul Debevec and I grew up in the same neighborhood in Champaign, Illinois and we still chat often. Great guy! :)
