It's just so sad that ..here they are..professional singers/musicians... and they don't even realize that they're singing two different songs ...so terribly confused...but then it was the 1970's...a lot of drug use then, so maybe it's to be expected ...and it would also account for the clothing of the men, or whatever the odd person on the right might be. And maybe Karen Carpenter was just delirious from hunger.

This is an amzing video. Karen is so sublime. Only been around for about a year by now here and the look from Andy Williams is so amazing when Karen come on and sings. He looks at her and is thinking what we all think about Karen now.

She was his equal.... Love her to bits..

even though they seemed dweeby, they knew how to harmonize ..... and karen had one helluva voice ..... quality everytime she opened her mouth. too bad about her eating disorder. you would think a person would be smart enough to realize that they are starving themselves to death, and just don't believe it because all they see is fat!

This was a very positive experience for the Carpenters. Andy Williams is a class act & the show treated them great- but they were mishandled at so many shows early on, & then the touring eventually took it's toll.
