What is it with the English and curry? Who would have thought they'd love it so much?!!! When I was in London there were curry houses every block. What happened to marmite and bangers and mash....I wanted to find native food!
many foodies know that the most delicious indian food is what is sold on the street corners of cities like kolkata -i am food historian... can tell you that the history-of this 16th century technique had more to do with making double duty use of a heat source on cold winter nights-than infusing flavor-not disrespecting the skills and accomplishments of either ramsey or the chef feature-i just love fresh flavors and infusions
@honeyflower459 i've been to kolkata..i don't really liked the food over there but loved the desserts but really liked the food in Delhi and in down south city of hyderabad.......
Let's recycle what we put in our food ! I am in the process of inventing a washing machine which would filter out every trace of spices we put in our cooking. My purpose? Recycle spices, save India.
@honeyflower459 whatever but this man was awarded as best cook and plus he won ramsey's f word, so 13 years experience doesn't mean you know the best, I am sorry.
and who is ramsey? the great god end and beginning and final word-fame and fortune and being entertaining doesn't equal best-the best tasting indian food is very often prepared by little old ladies hidden away in dusty old villages in remote corners of the subcontinent

I so badly wish this man would publish a book. I want to watch him all day and follow his recipes. What is his secret, that Ramsey loves his food?

I agree, his restaurant is overhyped, and overpriced.
