Silly Billy, these stories are as old as the hills. Have a look at Heinrich Hoffman the writer of the original tales of Der Struwwelpeter. Fantastic stuff. Thank the Lord it's not all Disney this and cutesy poo that or children would never learn what a dangerous and weird world it is!
