I have always wanted a Rainbow Cup Grand Prix ever since Mario Kart DS started the trend of comprising Retro Cups of past Mario Kart games. When Nintendo makes Mario Kart for the Cafe (rumored codename for Nintendo's next console), it will be the 8th installment of the series, and I want them to finally make a Rainbow Cup consisting of all the Rainbow Roads up until the 8th game, with the 8th being named Rainbow Planet using this music. Whenever I listen to this tune, I can always picture the same thing. I always picture a planet emitting the colors of the rainbow, and as the track progresses through, you leave the planet it drive through segments of every Rainbow Road course, that are all interconnected to the one planet.

You start on the Starship Mario, on a little rainbow road extension sticking out in front of the ship's wheel. Lubba is in front of you, and at the GO!! he turns around and points forward. A Luma transforms into a Launch Star as you drive toward it, and it sends you flying.

You land on the rings of the planet, which are also rainbows. The ring twists and curves, and at one point you are launched through space, past some Pull Stars.

Meanwhile, Prankster Comets smash into the road, creating holes that you must dodge. As you close in on a lap on the ring, one of the comets smashes through the ring completely. As "Lap 2" begins, you fall to the planet surface. More Lumas cheer you on, and you drive past the icy section, to a tractor beam that pulls you back up to the ring. You can move left and right in the tractor beam, but if you go too far, you fall into space. Same happens if you are blown up. Then Lap 3 begins.
