I like this film with L.ventura, R.Burton and the missing Lee Remick. Jeremy brett had a little apparition but perfect as a "acteur raté et imbu de sa personne". c'est un comble !
Could you pretty please post the whole movie annafrancesca1,,,,,,Oh go on....i even spelt your name right.......Would a bit of flattery help sway your decision?
Figurati!
I have always liked this film, and I have it on DVD. However, I'm ashamed to admit that I never realized JB was in it! I never knew what younger JB looked like until this year though. So I guess I can be forgiven. :)
Indeed! Always and forever gorgeous! :D I was watching young JB in Oscar Wildes "An Ideal Husband" the other day. How cute is he in that? Adoreable. I was smiling every time he appeared. :)
Oh yes, this is absolute one of my favorite horror-movies with a great cast of actors - and this scene reveals the unique talents of Burton and Brett very well. Calmy words, but they hit him were it hurts!
Its the knowing, the certainty of his wife's death that is so sweetly conceptualised in his eyes and the event made final as he gravely voices the words, "I won't". She is already dead in his reality the moment they walkout of the door. Scary stuff.
Did he have a bow tie on in this? Ah....two actors with two of the most distinctive voices in the business!! "She was invented by God to test our belief in him." Ouch!!! Ta for posting this annafrancesca1!!
Ahh...*crumbles to the floor* I tell you, if he got any purtier....lol. Thanks so much! This is great! I have to agree with liederlady221B. That bowtie is horrendous! But I didn't notice it until my second viewing...or was it third?? *Ahem* Thanks!
You are welcome darling! Anyway, as I told in answer to MaryMorstan87, he could wear even a cowl: on his olympian-godship-shape a cowl could seem Brioni's last creation!
Sei grande!! Continua a condividerli, mi raccomando!! Ancora grazie!!
Ahhhh, he can even make THAT shirt and bowtie look good. Just love the first closeup of him--classic JB pose! Thank you so much for generously sharing this.

Love it. They don't write dialogue like this anymore.

@DejectedPanda Nice how they keep the one-liners slinging, if that's what you mean.

Totally crap movie. Lee Remick was badly miscast.

That last look before she leaves.
Its chilling the way he looks at her.
She senses it too...
The film makes me shiver, even now after all this time.

annafrancesca1 3 years ago
I'm sorry! lol... I was only pulling your leg! Jeremy Brett went on to become a great actor, Anna!!!
Just that I think Richard Burton dominated the scene in The Medusa Touch.... my favourite film of all-time... ;-))

You can see 'the birth' of Sherlock in his even earlier age...

Richard Burton. Whou. Welch ein kultivierter Schauspieler! Gleiche Rangstufe mit Donald Sutherland.
Kultivierter Film, btw.

This is one of Richard Burton's most underrated roles. It is LONG overdue for a DVD release in the US.
