  • buddhism is a much peaceful religion i think

  • Why are people complaining about the English letters people are using to write words from another language? There is no "correct" spelling for these terms using the English alphabet. Close your eyes and experience the vibration and light from the Monks chanting.

  • Where is Amphu phen? What part of town? I was there in '68 7 69.USAF Ramasun Station S of Udorn about 8 k's..

  • continued...

The Dahamma is Pali for the Teachings of Buddha and Shanga is Pali for the Disciples who follow the Teachings of the Buddha

the second chant in the clip is a chant about the Buddha's Auspicious Victories and is too long to post the translation in here

  • @Afronaughtix Actually its Dhamma in Pali and Dharma in Sanskrit, not Dahamma.

  • This looks like a Merit making ceremony for someone who has passed away..

there are several blessing chants performed, the 2 most comon are Bhavatu sabba-maṅgalaṃ, Translation:

May there be every blessing. May all heavenly beings protect you

hrough the power of all the Buddhas, may you always be well.

repeted twice more but the word Buddhas is replaced by Dhammas the second time, and then by Shanghas the third time

  • man, i wish i have time to meditate

  • If you have time to breath you have time to meditate... :)

  • you can do a walking meditation...

  • how is that? can i get some tips?:) thxxx

  • well when i was a monk the master monk said meditation can be done while you do anything that is repetitive...as long as youre not in a hurry to walk anywhere...the process of meditation is breathing so walk at a constant pace breathe in and out at every step and walk from heel to toe...just remember constant speed, step by step, and breathe xD

  • They are not chanting in Esan... They are praying in Bali language.... All monks from Thailand pray in Bali language.

  • Pali, not Bali... :)

  • nah it's just in thai it's pronounce bali...the monks call it bali so that's probably why he called it bali

  • you mean pali bhasa my friend balinese is a very diffrent language and i can know i am balinese/javanese from singaraja.Pali is the ancient language descended from sanskriet
