I'm not trying to be racist (because I'm certainly not a racist person) and this isn't one of those fucked up "I'm not racist but [insert incredibly racist comment]" comments but I really wish they had gone with an actor of Iranian descent. Jake Gyllenhaal is a great actor and they did a fairly descent job making him look "Persian-ish" but it's not the same as having an actor who is actually Persian.

Iranian people come in different shades though just like everyone else. Some are as brown as Ahmadinejad and even a little darker and some are almost as pale as a European.

im going to see it. i have to admit that jake actually looks ok as the prince. i wonder if youll get a name for the prince yet. the only reason that people wont say the hes a good person to play it is because hes never had a roll as a completely bad ass guy like the prince. i dont know if he will do very well, but at least he kinda looks the part. the movie doesnt really look like it goes along with stuff from the games at all, so that kind of a dissapointment. oh well
