Good musicality. Balance between the "cherry blossoms" and the right hand e's was off at some parts. A tad too fast in some places. Speed works like dynamics. It's more powerful when there's a range. If you play through the lesser parts of the piece as fast as you do the climax, it just doesn't work as well. Especially if your note accuracy at the faster speeds is off. Tone it down to where you can hit all the notes. But for the most part, your note accuracy was good, especially on the lick.
I've known this solo for well over a year, and i have played it for a few auditions, and honestly speed hasn't been an issue. If you listen to a few recordings on Keiko Abe's cd's, this is about the tempo she and other soloists play it at (if not slower).
the point isn't that you've known it for "well over a year" and have the right tempo, but the point is you haven't given time to achieve the correct notes.
run through the solo at eighth note equals 54, then 56, then 58, then 60, then 63, etc. until up to tempo. it might kill you you go that slow, but it would help TONS.
ok do u people really think that it is that fast... have you heard a recording... yea... its alot better then the other vid of this solo... and a peice doesnt have to be slow inordor to be musical...
aaaah damnit.. my post is near the bottom

Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the tempo methinks. The only thing might be to take a bit of time and give a little space in places

I agree with Mighty925mouse.
Its an amazing piece yet the beauty of the piece gets lost in the tempo. great job though, its sounds great.
