It's amazing how these skeptics at the CEI are only skeptical on one topic... Maybe they're not really skeptics, maybe their paychecks come from corporations whose bottom line would be hurt if we start taking externalities into consideration, and are therefore not unbiased sources of actual skeptical commentary... Just a thought...
Maybe your whole argument is false. Just a thought....
Prove that their paychecks come from those corporations. Or just watch "The Great Global Warming Swindle", and you'll see there are many more skeptics than the media would want you to know. Or better yet, google Richard Lindzen.
Exxon Mobil and Ford are two of their main contributors. They've also been called out for misrepresenting scientists' work to support their claims. Lindzen doesn't think smoking causes lung cancer, and 1995 was charging oil and coal interests $2,500 a day for his consulting services; his 1991 trip to testify before a Senate committee was paid for by Western Fuels, and a speech he wrote, entitled 'Global Warming: the Origin and Nature of Alleged Scientific Consensus,' was underwritten by OPEC
I highly doubt that Lindzen believes that. But even if he does, so what? He's not an MD, he's one of the most knowledgable people on earth about climates. Plus if he's the most prominent person speaking out against nuts like Gore, I can understand why oil companies would want his message to be heard, and would therefore fund him. Just like Gore, these scientists need money to make sure their message is heard, but there's a LOT more money provided by the far left on this issue than the oil comps.
