he's there at 7.35 - thing is he died in london so how is he in some scenes in spain and not in others (not including indoorcshots which are usually done in a studio in UK)
@Isthisthelongestname He was alive when they were filming the outdoor scenes in Spain, but did you notice he was not in any indoor scene in Spain, which was filmed in the UK, has he had died by then
I think you'll find this has always been classed as a Newcastle program. As for the supporting of Sunderland... you will find that they take the mick out of mackems on the way to Germany due to a car sticker. They go to the match as Sunderland is still a local side regardless whether you're a Mag or an SMB.
As I said earlier, there is absolutely no need to bring football into this clip though.
Not a NUFC fan mate Sunderland fan all the way but i miss the crack and hope you get back soon so i can look forward to the most intense clash in top flight football bar none :)
Jimmy Nail (born 16 March 1954) is an English actor and singer.
He has starred in numerous roles on television since 1983. He is 6'3" tall and is an avid Newcastle United supporter. He is most famous for his role as Leonard "Oz" Osbourne
taken both from wikipedia and meself cuz i met the bloke in durham cathedral on sept 18 2009 when he was there watchin sting do his new cd and dvd which will be put onto bbc on boxin day this year.
Yeah, it's true Oz and Denis supported Sunderland in a European match in Belguim while the boys were working in Germany. However, it was a one-off, a chance to get away from the building site, drink some piss with fellow Brits and see some top class soccer. They were NUFC fans throughout the series and there were plenty of references to this narrative fact.
Ah don't be hard on him chrispace, it's understandable that Wearsiders will resort to cheap shots when there isn't a classic comedy/drama that Sunderland can call their own!
that tippings bollocks ...never tip!!!

Great program, but just shows how bitter Mackems are when they cant even watch a Newcastle program without having to resort to football.
chrispace2007 2 years ago
it was based in germany, spain,
and a bit of england mate,
its not a newcastle program just because the actors are from there,
and they supported sunderland in the first series
lol they even went to sunderland match.
Im not bitter mate but will be next season when we are not playing nufc in derby's

best thing to come out of newcastle,
a lot of the mags were found hanging on to the bottom of the Metro last week,
to gain access to better times,
but customs sent them back ....
there speech and passports were not in order..
lol. ha F.T.M going down this season.
actually i like the derby's so will sad to see them go. but love Auf Pet top marks
