I noyiced something here....The seminary students did not use any name calling in thier talk and the young men who did not believe in God were somewhat disrespectful in thier tone. What's the offense to them. This alone can change my beliefs. Thank you seminary students. Thank you so much. I don't think atheism is a minoriuty in the U.S.
I am the first speaker on this video. I just wanted to say thanks for doing such a great job of filming this! I had no idea they were on youtube! The sound is great and it looks very professional. I really enjoyed being a part of this debate and I was happy to be able to share my mind and heart with those in attendance. If I am in Springfield for the next Skepticon, I would love to be a part of it again. Thanks again for the great video.
Glad you liked it all. The entire event is rendered to MP3 and was handed off to the organizers of the event on a CD. There were plans to make it down-loadable, but I'm not sure of the status since that's beyond the realm of my skills.
If you want a copy of it, hit JT up and he might be able to make that a reality.
I think the guy in the middle of the believers really muddled the debate by trying to poison the well with his "reason is not an argument for athiesm" tactic.
A debate should be about a topic not how to debate about a topic. I think it would be best if the athiests just disregarded his point rather than addressing it.
They're on the next video. I dont do content cuts for projects of this volume, I pretty much cut it right down my time lines regardless of whats being chopped.
Suggestion: if you could add in the description who was in each individual video segment, that would be handy for those of us who want to go to a particular part without re-watching the entire thing.
All that will come soon enough. I don't think the viewers quite understand the massive scale of all of these videos. I filmed the entire thing, captured everything, and I've been non stop editing and uploading since the day of the event.
It's going to take a while before everything is perfect, but I figured releasing some of the videos ASAP would be more appreciated than posting everything 2 months later once its all perfect.
In short, thanks for watching, but please cut me some slack.
I'm not complaining, I'm just making a suggestion. I'm not even going to watch any of these. I was there. ;) I'm just sharing with friends and family who are like "omg, that's your boyfriend!" and I'm like "yup."
