  • Meant to say pop trash of today

  • Wish I could've been born in 1960 an lived through the era of real music not this pop trash all teenagers listen to

  • I used to play it while driving, and that siren at the end often shocked me.

  • Picture it:: dudes and chicks gathered around a hot fucking Camaro, speakers blasting Aerosmith, getting drunker than fuck, rocking out, life is good, no fucking cell phones, pulling down zippers, the park is dark, best friend is yelling, girlfriend is bitching, everybody's rocking out. Then after Aerosmith it's Van Halen, then ZZ Top then Zep. Good night, right???

  • one of my favorite solos of all time!!!!!

  • iwas drunk to this sitting on the bathroom floor with one hand i n the tub and the other in the fuckin toilet

  • Ummm...all douchebags here arguing about American Idol and all that horseshit...your agenda is obviously not to talk about great kick-fuckin'-ass rock 'n roll, which this definitely is...go somewhere else with your b.s.agenda, this is for people who appreciate this Aerosmith moment in time, which, if you weren't lucky enough to experience it, was a fuckin' blast. This is one of the albums which inspired me to play rock guitar, which I do to this day...my fingers are sore now. So fuck off, you.

  • @Scottissocool77 Actually, ScottIsaTool, you mom pays a lot of attention to me, while she's blowing me like there's no tomorrow. My fingers weren't sore from typing, Imbecile, but from playing bass for about 6 hours, but I wouldn't expect you to know anything about that. Now take the short bus back to the shallow end of the gene pool, and leave the musical commentary to the adults, Junior.

  • Steve without Joe is like Pot without THC

  • Great song, how come you never hear them play the sirens at the end of the song on the radio?

  • So funky, so bluesy

  • @TPaps21 JB is Jack Black man! If it's not Jack Black then don't say JB. Btw I don't know what you're arguing about so no point in replying!

  • My favorite 8 track tape-Rock On Aerosmith!~

  • kickass song! rock at its purest form!!! this is the real shit ppl!!!!

  • Kickass! This is the real shit!

  • I'm 17. And I think this album kicks ass! My question to you older people is did you all at some point think these bands sucked or thought of someone like Freddie Mercury the way we think of Justin Bieber? (not that I do, I love FM)

  • @pfootball43

I have also a question, for us Aerosmith fans nowadays hate guys like jb and stuff, but back in the 70's and 80's , what did you think about Michael Jackson? I want to make one thing clear, I DON'T COMPARE JB TO MJ = )

  • @larsnoorman To answer your Q about MJ.Growing up( a kid in the 70's) when he was w/J-5 I liked some. In High School when he debuted with Off the Wall,I thought it was artistic pop genius(though not my choice of music).... after that ,in my worthless opinion, every album after that was worse than the one before.Yeah, the sold multi millions but it was pop hype and lots of publicity. BECAUSE of his debut album that charted the course.

  • @generationx1966

    thanks for answering ! (:

  • @pfootball43 In the 70s, we thought of guys like Shaun Cassidy and Donnie Osmond they way Justin Bieber is viewed now. Who are Cassidy and Osmond, you may ask. Well, a few decades from now, younger people will be asking who Justin Bieber is/was. Teen pop idols come…teen pop idols go (as their fan base grows up). Rock n Roll stays forever.

  • @pfootball43

lol yeah and I'm 15 and I'm a great Aerosmith fan since my 4th.. XD

  • @Scottissocool77 So you're saying that their quitting drugs was a bad thing? They'd probably be dead by now if they hadn't stopped. Permanent Vacation was amazing, and they did a bunch of awesome stuff after that as well. Pump, Get a Grip, Nine Lives... all awesome.

  • @TheAerochick13 No, quitting drugs just resulted in them making several crappy records. From Permanant Vacation on, Aerosmith changed their musical style dramatically. They started writing more commercially marketable music, which in my opinion kind of stinks...but you can think that it's awesome to sell-out.

  • @Scottissocool77 But you realize, that if they hadn't quit drugs, they probably wouldn't have ever made anymore records post A Night in the Ruts. Going through rehab is also what put the band back together, if they hadn't, Joe and Brad probably wouldn't have came back. So now, try to tell me that their quitting drugs was a bad thing...

  • @TheAerochick13 I guess that rehab was good for them as people (I hate to see anyone die.) However, their best music was written when they were doing the drugs. They probably should have packed it in after rehab. I'm glad to see that they finally might be calling it quits. It was long overdue. Like come on... you know that you've run out of ideas when you title an album Honkin' on Bobo, that's just stupid.

  • @Scottissocool77 I do agree that they should definetly quit now. They should've quit back in 1997 after Nine Lives was made. Atleast then we would've avoided the tragedies known as "Just Push Play" and "Honkin' On Bobo". But I in no way agree that they should've called it quits after A Night in the Ruts. They made some amazing albums after that.

  • @TheAerochick13 You sound like you really know your Aerosmith. (Not that your name indicated that in any way). But I must ask, what's the big deal with Aerosmith?

I don't mean that in a condescending way.

  • @Scottissocool77 Haha. Well, one thing I've really admired about them is that they had a balance. Most bands either didn't do drugs and wrote crappy songs, or they did do drugs, but they went way over board and made songs that made you wonder what the heck was happening as you listen to them. Aerosmith was neither of the above. Plus the fact that they were more inspired by the legit Classic Rock (50s era) so they had more of a raw rock factor to them. An excellent contrast to Queen or Zeppelin.

  • @Scottissocool77 haven't heard a crappy one yet & I heard every one from the day their first one came out to present. I don't think you know the definition of selling out..

Would you prefer that they didn't advance in the growth of their music /art & make every album sound the same as the last 1, like just a few.. of AC-DC's?

Talk to a musician, or someone in the biz, take a class, learn something about music. If ya don't like it that's one thing, but unfounded comments like that are retarded.

  • I guess that you're the musician who know's the "Biz"...right? Crying, Crazy, and Amazing are three Aerosmith songs that sound nearly identical just to name a few.

I find it humorous that you see it fit to slam AC/DC, but God forbid I talk bad about your precious Aerosmith. You hypocrite!!!

By the way Selling out=compromising integrity for money. Aerosmith is definitely guilty of that.

Perhaps it is you who needs to learn something.

  • @Scottissocool77 I'm sure to someone arguing like a sociopath i.e. dissing the musicians u don't like any more anymore, because they went and changed style on you, but are listening to here regardless of that fact, they do sound similar to u. So what. I didn't slam AC-DC, they said their selves that their own music all sound the same and we already know it even tho we like 'em. & yes I am a "person" who knows & played w people in da biz.Producers with their own labels too, with same opinion.

  • @Rampant7990 First off, you should learn some proper grammar so people can understand what you're talking about. How do you expect people to believe that you know anything about music when you obviously can't even master a simple sentence? You sound uneducated and ignorant, which is probably the case.

  • @Scottissocool77 Typical childish sociopath here folks. Anyone who knows me here, certainly can comprehend better than this twit, that I sacrifice grammar, on occasion, due to lack of space we are allowed. How many hours did it take you to find a missing comma or typo in which I accidentally used a word twice in a row? Wow, that never happened online before; as if that, or spelling are the main concern here.

I wouldn't go there regarding grammar ya phony. Attack some more people over music.

  • @Scottissocool77 So why are u changing the subject again?

I thought u were proving to us all how Aerosmith's later albums went downhill and , sucked more or less; as well u claimed they "sold out" , according your definition in which u explain how, by changing music styles as they progressed, their music was no longer "good", due to ur not personally liking it. Hence ur trying to brainwash people to believing what u'd like , as in "they are sellouts". Run on sentence! Jump on it! MENSA man!

  • @TheAerochick13 All the newer shit, none of it compares to the great, older stuff, like this, their best album.

  • @Mojolightnin yes this one a the first one too!

  • SO FUCKIN TRUE!

  • This thing is UNSTOPABLE

  • that break at 2:39 drove me and my friends wild when we were kids in the 70s

  • When your rock'in the streets.........

  • grew up on this shit........never a lame time when this album is playing

  • This was probably their best album besides Permanent Vacation. Aerosmith ROCKS!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheAerochick13 Permanent Vacation? Get the fuck outta here. That was lame compared to Rocks.

  • @Mojolightnin Did I say that Permanent Vacation was better? Hell no. Chill out.

  • @TheAerochick13 You did say that, and it's ridiculous. It shows you know nothing about good rock n roll. YOU chill the hell out.

  • @TheAerochick13 When I said "best album besides Permanent Vacation" I meant that they're currently in a cut-throat battle in the top in my opinion. They're both great albums. I know nothing about good Rock'n'Roll? Seriously, take some Ritalin, kid. I don't have to prove myself to a poser like you.

  • Best aerosmith song, hands down.

  • Such a badass tune. 2:34 - 2:38 transcends rock into beauty.

  • Was 16 yrs old when this album came out. Still ROCKS !!!

  • @bubbaspad ha ha you're 50 or almost 50

  • @IDREAMOFJEANIE2 Yeah, playing this album the first time I bought a half "bindle". Turn the speakers all the way up and ended up giving myself a beer shower. The memories of youth lol. The old days we use to rock out!
