I don't understand how some people can only say that Trish was carried in her matches. Trish's matches with Mickie James was better than Mickie's matches with Mccool, Beth, Lita, and arguably Melina. Victoria, Jazz, and especially Lita had their absolute BEST matches with Trish. If Trish was always carried in her matches why weren't Lita, Victoria, and Jazz's matches with other competitors better than their matches with Trish? Trish is a little overrated but she is easily one of the best ever.

This is arguably one of the greatest WWE Women's matches of all time. I would say it is up there with Trish Stratus vs Lita when they main-evented RAW I think in December of '04

There were other women during her era that deserved equal title wins. Trish was great for WWE she was solid all around which is a problem WWE has always has with their divas. Even currently they have great wrestlers like Natalya& Gail but cant deliver solid promos. But at the same time they have ok wrestlers and good promo (Alicia Fox) Then you have the worst wrestlers and best promo makers who appeal to WWE writers. WWE needs to work with those divas instead of just leaving be.

I'm happy they changed the title to the Divas title because the divas (with the exeption of the obvious like Natalya, Beth, Michelle, Melina, Gail Kim... etc.) of today don't deserve to hold that title. The names of the bad divas cannot be with the names of The Fabolous Moolah, Trish Stratus, Lita, Ivory, Molly Holly, Jazz, Chyna, Sable etc... So I'm all good. Unless they put the good divas on the same brand to battle of the Women's Championship, I'd rather it stay the Divas title. :)

You know what I miss most about the old diva matches, the fast pace and intensity of them. WWE has some good females wrestlers now (beth, nattie etc) but they 're just missing that fast pace and excitement. In fact, the whole product is missing this.
@hettee I disagree. It's one thing to be a good wrestler, but in WWE you have to be a good entertainer, promo deliverer, and company promoter. Trish had that niche to be the company woman. Even if there are better wrestlers than her, her popularity and success out did them. So I do not blame her for winning seven WWE Women's Championship reigns, and one Hardcore Championship reign.
@Throwbacksx But if you remember Ivory.. She was SO good on the mic, and her promos back in '99 and 2000 were incredible. But I gotta agree with you, that Trish gained unbeliavable amount of popularity & fans in such a little time. She even got a little cheers while being heel in 2005. Its been fake for a long time but at least when Trish, Jazz, and Victoria was fighting it looked real and interesting. Kelly Kelly and the other divas are terrible in comparison. Please WWE, give us a match like THIS at WM 27. No 30 Diva Battle royal, no 10 Diva Tag Match that last 2 minutes...Give us a hard fough championship match: perhaps Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Michelle McCool? Hell, you could even use Melina and/or Layla. But PLEASE keep it down to 3 or 4 divas that can ACTUALLY WRESTLE!!!

I'm happy they changed the title to the Divas title because the divas (with the exeption of the obvious like Natalya, Beth, Michelle, Melina, Gail Kim... etc.) of today don't deserve to hold that title. The names of the bad divas cannot be with the names of The Fabolous Moolah, Trish Stratus, Lita, Ivory, Molly Holly, Jazz, Chyna, Sable etc... So I'm all good. Unless they put the good divas on the same brand to battle of the Women's Championship, I'd rather it stay the Divas title. :)

You know what I miss most about the old diva matches, the fast pace and intensity of them. WWE has some good females wrestlers now (beth, nattie etc) but they 're just missing that fast pace and excitement. In fact, the whole product is missing this.

@hettee I disagree. It's one thing to be a good wrestler, but in WWE you have to be a good entertainer, promo deliverer, and company promoter. Trish had that niche to be the company woman. Even if there are better wrestlers than her, her popularity and success out did them. So I do not blame her for winning seven WWE Women's Championship reigns, and one Hardcore Championship reign.

@Throwbacksx But if you remember Ivory.. She was SO good on the mic, and her promos back in '99 and 2000 were incredible. But I gotta agree with you, that Trish gained unbeliavable amount of popularity & fans in such a little time. She even got a little cheers while being heel in 2005. I love Trish as a character, and she's the earliest diva I can remember from my childhood. But as a wrestler I prefer Molly, Jackie, Ivory and Jazz etc. And what about Lita, she was popular and a better wrestler..

@FalledAgain Agreed! Molly was ok, Jazz was great and Jaqueline but Ivory was to busy with real life to make a committment to the WWE. Thats why she wasnt in the league to be a 7 times womans champ. Lita didnt gain the popularity Trish gained. She was good i woudnt say better wrestler. Ppl say that highflyers were better but honestly there not. Trish was a balance of every diff wrestling style. Jazz and trish could have had lita in a fair match. Victoria was a bad ass. Too.

@moneymo2016 You know, Molly was much better than OK, she was the best technical wrestler WWE has seen in the whole decade.
And finally someone else than me thinks that Lita wasn't really better than Trish. Lita was a great high-flyer, but only a decent ground wrestler. And yeah, Victoria was horribly underrated, super-badass. She had the WHOLE package - mic-skills, wrestling skills, looks. I'm actually glad she broke the contract 2 years early and went to TNA.

Your right im tired of hearing ppl say Lita was the best just cause she can moonsault and do huricanarana. Damn Victoria could moonsault and trish did some high flying moves as well. Victoria was underated terribly. Even if she wasnt 7 times she should have been close jazz too.

@handful808 I agree there are other divas that could of been in her spot. Of course any diva that gets there somebody gonna say oh yeah she's overrated. But I agree with you im just saying its the diva that puts the most in her work, worked the hardest, showed in ring talent, sold to the viewers eyes, sold the promo's, and was recognised as a dynasty to the wwe womans champion. Talent, drive, and popularity brings you there if you don't have all three then you wont make it.

@hettee Yes there were some that showed more in the WWE. But trish carried a certain package that others failed to deliver on. Trish is a great wrestler. Even as a heel she was applauded as if she was a face. She delivered on the Promo's, And People were paying much more attention to the divas when she was involved. Thats why wwe used her for 7 times champ. She brought much more sales and popularity to the divas devision that no other diva could do. So thats why she is where she is at.

@moneymo2016 She was booed out of the arena as a heel. Of course people were paying more attention to the divas when she was involved. She was there during the ENTIRE Golden Era. The divas were treated equal to the men at that time. The WWE creative team put a lot of effort into Trish. She was involved in countless storylines while other divas weren't. She was the typical diva, blonde hair and big boobs. THAT is why she was so marketable. She shined because of the effort put into her character.
