Thanks Jerma for making this video because i have a serious case of AD/HD, and i have take these pills to calm me down, i have to take 5 pills a day just to keep sane, my problem is so bad i have actually punched my teacher in the face because she woke me up when i was sleeping in class, i have been kicked out of about 7 schools but i have been keeping it under control lately however i am actually scared of myself, i cant look in a mirror...
All my condolences to everyone that commented, god bless you! While I feel blessed to have no real conditions or illness', I hope all your loved ones live long and prosper!
im ten and when i was nine i was diagnosed with tourettes and adhd and im happy to talk about it and jerma i love your videos thanx dude i feel super soz for u
My name is Hal and I am 13 years old. Last year I too got diagnosed with chrones disease. Not much to say about it really, haha, but I 100% agree with you! Never let anything like that undermine your amazing life! Thanks for making this too, I appreciate it. :)
LoL whatta noob who disliled it its just toaly cool from u jerma to tell this to us and Yeah u found a good opinion about it so... Keep doing loads of cool and interessting videos and keep.up buddy
Jerma I have IBS (Irritable* Bowel syndrome) so I feel your pain on eating horrible foods..I can't have alcohol or spicey food otherwise my day gets ruined.
I became sad thinking about people having diseases, btw I wish all of you (with disease or without disease) live a happy life and always think positive, and thanks Jerma for your personal story, it made me realize something.
I am 13 and I used to have a heart condition called SVT. It prevented me from doing any running activities, and was dangerous for me because me heart would start beating at around 350 - 400 beats per minute (the normal is 240 while exercising btw). Luckily for me there is a surgery for it so I don't have that condition anymore.
I have something a little like what you have, but it's called IBS. I basically have to take medicine or I won't take a crap for weeks, which hurts like hell when it happens. I understand what its like, and it can suck, but you always gotta know that behind the wall that can lock your life, there's so much that's worth the pain.
I have haemophilia, it's a bleeding disorder so I basically don't clot very well. It's not to life changing or anything, but it means I can't play paintball or join the emergency services. Fortunately, I have a very rare version of haemophilia which means I can basically 'grow out of it' so I'm pretty happy. I'm like the second person to have my type of haemophilia in my part of the UK.
I have crohn's disease and have had it for about 8 years, my wife's father has it and he gave me the best piece of advice and I thought I would pass it on. Never opt surgery. They remove the affected area and it feels better for a while then pops up somewhere else. He has had 9 surgeries since he was diagnosed, they essentially removed his bladder and lower intestines and he is now on a permanent colostomy bag.
Hey Jerma, I've been born with anal atresia, which pretty much means I was born without an asshole. Obviously I have one now, but it has changed my life significantly. My digestive system isn't working optimally, so it does not absorb all the water that is stached in the food I digest. When I eat too much things that are not good for me, I end up getting severe diarrhea, which could last up to 2 months. Since I'm underweight, I could actually die from diarrhea.
@Jerma985 I dont know if i have Chromes disease, but i have the symptoms, I get almost daily aches anywhere that is close to my digestion system. So I am now getting really much like... Wait... Do i have a disease? Because they REALLY hurt, especially when i eat something like thons of Milk Products or Tacos... Do you know? (Btw i am 11)
Jerma, I have type 1 Diabetes, sometimes i just wish there was a cure, but I always realize there are far more worse Diseases/Conditions than this. If I can't keep control of myself, such as the sugar in in my blood, I can become blind, my kidneys might fail, and other stuff. I currently have it under control and hope it stays that way. It's really not as bad as some people might think at first, you just have to get used to it and after a while you wont notice a thing.
Thank you for this video because I have a friend outside of school with chromes and I don't have anyone to talk about it with and I am worried about them because they are depressed and not doing anything about it but this video really helped me
My disorder isn't that bad, but it does suck from time to time. I'm colorblind and because of this, I can't quite dress myself. Most people are totally fine with it and don't bully me, most don't even know I have it until I ask them what color something is, but there will always be that 10% of people who just want to bring people down. But like I said, it's not that bad.
I have Add and I have to take this crap pill so I can pay attention at school. You are the first person I told because I feel that if I tell some of my friends they will tell their friends I'm already being bullied at school this will most likey make it worst:( but you have it worst I am only 13 and you are what 26 and you can't eat something that must stink
@TheEvolutionofStupid I don't get this. The fuck are they going to bully you about? And what's stopping you from telling parents or teachers? Or just straight up telling them to fuck off?
I'd just like to say thank you for sharing this. I can't imagine its easy.
I have many friends and family members who suffer from a variety of afflictions, from multiple sclerosis to depression. You're right; you can't let it get you down. Keep positive.
I have scoliosis, it's when your back is an "S" shape. You have to wear a brace to keep your back straight. If you don't wear one, your whole body (except your legs and under) will go to the left or right. I still don't wear a brace, and my body is still straight, but I'm getting a brace in a month or so. It won't fix my back (I think), but I'll have to live with a brace for years so my back won't go left or right. I'll have to live with the "S" for the rest of my life. I'm okay with it though.
Bad eyes, as in -2.75 and -2.5 with a 2 point correction for strabismus(lazy eye). Allergies to milk protein(trust me, you don't realize how much food has milk in them when you cant even have the non-milk milks), kiwi fruits, strong smells(going past a makeup aisle makes me stop breathing) and horse dander. Most major joins I have had dislocated, so I sort of click when moving about at times. Crappy musculature in the back making my spine crooked. Dyslexia and sickly good looks :P
i might have crohns disease , ive had this since i was 14 and im 16 now the pain really does suck it feels like someone punched me in the gut and the pain stays there.hopefully ill find out soon but im not looking forward for to getting a light shoved threw my intestines ,
I Have Hypo-Plastic-Left-Heart-Syndrom a.k.a heat disease, I had 3 open heart surgeries as a little kid... Im 15 now... If i was born 10 years before, I'd be dead... D:
Jerma, thank you so much for making this video. I've been living with ulcerative colitis for about 6 years now. It was at its worst during my early years of high school, meaning I spent a long time away from all my friends. I'm on about a dozen pills a day because of it, but thankfully it's in remission now, and has been for some time. While it saddens me to hear you suffer from a similar condition, it's good to be reminded there are others out there who are going through the same thing as me.
I grew up with ecxema, really severe. I'd wake up on mornings to realize my skin was literally bloody from scratching myself in the middle of the night. And I gotta agree with you, when something like that happens, it makes you value other stuff better.
i was the one who asked you to make the personal video thing thing that you awsered and how iron it is ok so look im 10 in fith grade. so were are righingt an essay and out of nowere my teachers like martin(my name) have you gone to the doctors? ah nooo. youd better go . this is why . can you tell the difference between your cough and someone elses? not really. your coughs are wet and flammy and your friends are dry . i think you might have bronchidis, which is a beggining sign of nomonia SHIT!
Omfg you sound like such a nice guy? where te fuck is god for good people when people that disurve it'r not ill... i feel bad now becus i'm perfectly healthy
Jerma, thanks for sharing this with us, it shows how close you are with your subs and maybe not even subs just everyone that loves and supports u, My cousin has very bad Autism he doesnt respond to his name so one day he ran out and there was a car literally we were all screaming out his name but he just wouldnt respond, he was hit by the car luckily it wasnt going to fast it took him awhile to recover so now we call him a nickname 'Stormtrooper' He responds to it everytime. Stay Strong Jerma<3
my brother was diagnosed with severe bipolar disorder when he was 4. we were told he would never be able to function in society without being heavily medicated. he is now a happy, social, popular fifth grader and has never had to take one pill :)
i have asthma i know nat a major one but it made it so that i almost failed gym class for alot of my life got it mostly under control now but still it means that i cont do alot of phisical activity
I was in grade 5 and at the athletics carnival i fell into a Coma, after 1 week of deep sleep i woke up to find out i have diabetes type 1 (Genetics) now everything i do i nearly die today i went swimming i passed out but woke up with water down my throat but i still try have fun you have now changed my life inspired.
when i was six i was diagnosed with the worst kind of ashtmy(i think thats how you spell it) and i cant play sports and i have to take 3 handfulls of pills ...... yea dude i know how you fell
I have cardio myopathy and it's genetic. My cousin who was in the Coast Guard collapsed and died last year with it, and it really put a new perspective on my life. Photography and gaming have been my recent hobbies and your videos are always inspiring.
my bro was born with a some thing that the doc said he would never walk in his life and now he is runing every marathon he could see in the state of newjersey
Wow someone disliked cause they understand or there just a jerk but im relly sry jerma for your disease and it atully does help not tobecome a junky or a drinker cause in my 7th grade class in histhe had a grampa that drunk constilly and droped his child so it is kida for the good 2
Hey, I'm an upcoming games channel, doing "let's play" style vids of awesome RPG's and what not. I'm a new channel so any feedback or comments whatsoever are greatly appreciated, need to know where and what i need to improve on! Thanks :)
I have a disease called Jaundice. Which basically means that I was born with some sort of un-curable liver failure. This can, when it affects me, turn the whites of my eyes yellow and my skin turns a light shade of yellow as well. Also it is near impossible to move because you are in so much pain and in-stability that if you move to much yu will be sick constantly. But in my opinion it is for the best because it makes me be careful about what I can eat and drink on a regular basis. But it can b
My medical issues aren't much compared to yours Jerma, but I am allergic to bunnies and I have severe asthma that can completely block my breathing and I can die within 5 minutes if I don't get my inhaler. I also keep getting severe cases of Pharyngitis that sometimes lead to Rheumatic fever (usually like 8 times a year. But things like this shouldn't get in the way, all of you keep a positive attitude and stay strong!
Well a guy on my school, he WAS 16 years old, i didn't know him but still, he was on a camp with like friends and he had a disease were his body can't handle sugar(don't know the english term) and at the end of the vacation he had an attack where he had to much or to less sugar. and at night they would check every hour untill 4 am. but later that night he(after 4 am) he Died. because he choked in his own spit and vomit. and this is so weird that a guy, one year older then me, died.sorry for him.
I have Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder because of some serious trauma that happened with my parents when I was younger. It affects every single part of my life, every day, and it is very easy to get down on myself about it. Having a disorder or other health issue really makes you feel crappy, and you think, "Why me? Why do I have to be in pain?" But you have to count your blessings and try to strive for happiness. Thanks for sharing, Jerma, and take care of yourself. :)
Who fuckin disliked this? The dude is telling a personal story that most of us wont have the balls to talk about and he shares it with like 10,000 people....We all love ya Jerma no matter what ilness youl have and we will support you the whole way!!
nice commentary i got something not that bad as yours and that from dparra34 but i got something with my kneew actualy 2 two things osgut schlatter and pattelo femorale its not for my whole life but im 14 now and it started at my 13 and its gonna last till my 16/17 i hope but in the time i have i won't be able to run, sport, climb stairs more quicker then grandpa or so... if been kinda sad bout it cuz i used to sport like 20 times a week.. but after this i gonna make the best of it.. thanx jerma
well i think mine isnt so bad but i have astma so i can't let my lungs work to hard else they will be like 60 when i'm 30 so that would suck. when i got gym i really need to take it easy but thats not fair in my eyes :(
i am allergic to peanuts nuts and fish, you probably think that ain't a big deal, it's probably not compared to the other things that are said here. but when i eat one of those things and i do not take my medicine fast enough it could be lethal. sorry for poor english, i am dutch
I have a disease called Immunodeficius. Which is basicaly a sickes off leukocyts (white blood cells). This does not sound so bad. But everytime there is epidemic sickness, all venereall diseases, alergic reactions. I can get them randomly or without enoughg caution with a single contakt on my skin :) And sicknesses like a regular cold cann somethimes bring me on the brink of death. Worst case scenario: My immunity system will repel my own body. But I manage. Have job. Child. Sex.. xD
i have a disease that i have no clue how it's called in the English language but my throat hurts constantly not anything serious but annoying because once a month it's unbearable pain oh and i can't drink water when that happens because it just makes it worst
Im SOOO greatful that i have no sickness or anything an i rarely ever get sick. Im taller than usual but im a little skinny. But when i get sick it really screws me up. And when i was younger i used to get severe ear infections
well i have aspergers syndrome its a more mild form of autism no real downsides to it and it basicly means my brain is different i think faster i reakt faster but it is hard to make desitions and if a cure will somehow be made i will refuse to take it
i had cancer from 2001 to 2005, i got cured and i value everything much more! i respect everyone even tho they have a disease, sit in a wheelchair. i am much more happy now and you only live once guys! LIVE ON THE LIMIT
I dont think I really realise how lucky Iam. Even though I dont eat very healthy, I still stay with a good body, and that's the same for my brothers, so I know it will last. I really NEVER get sick, so I can fake it whenever I want. Above average height and slightly above with weight. also Im not allergic to anything at all, and have no sicknesses as ADHD and dyxlexia*
the only thing is that I had some ear problems when I was like 9..
I have no diseases, but I'm overweight and I'm a pretty nerdy and quiet person.
Because of that I'm having a hard time finding friends, and i wonder if I'm ever gonna find a girlfriend. Sometimes it really makes my life hard and can infact feel like a disease
Thanks for sharing this Jerma! Also I kinda feel bad saying this on this type of video, but if you guys may find the time to check out my TF2 commentary's that would mean ALOT to me, Thank You guys!
I was hit by a car when i was 5years old. I cant play computer games over 1h and if i get a hot to my head i will die, if some1 throws a ball and ig hits my head i''ll die and also if i have a headache it will hurt a lot more than normally. But i am positive ;)
I have had diabetes since i was 14, but like you said: these diseases do change your life, but they're perfectly manageable. It changed my life for the good because i used to be overweight (european standards) but now i'm the perfect weight and it does improve your life.
Ocd and adhd. It's not so bad. I'm not pay attiton it school..... And i get REALLY bored sometimes there.

So what I got is funnel chest/pectus excavatum. It's where your chest is sunken in (search is up if you wanna see) anyway so that means lower chest capacity for your heart and lungs. (Plus a good dose of lower self confidence if you let it get to you) but I also had Kawasaki Syndrome when I was 1. So that is the inflammation of all the vital organs. So I'm like you, can't eat crap, can't drink, and can't smoke

Feeling you here, Jerma.
I grew up with ecxema, really severe. I'd wake up on mornings to realize my skin was literally bloody from scratching myself in the middle of the night. And I gotta agree with you, when something like that happens, it makes you value other stuff better.

I also keep getting severe cases of Pharyngitis that sometimes lead to Rheumatic fever (usually like 8 times a year. But things like this shouldn't get in the way, all of you keep a positive attitude and stay strong!

Have job. Child. Sex.. xD
