  • Nice job bro!

  • great job and nice vid. How long did you let the base coat dry and did you apply all the base coats within 1 hr? Also did you immediately apply the clear coat right after?

I'm trying to paint mine silver which is the original color so you can say touch up if you will! so you think i could skip perhaps the primer portion?

  • @xlechasseurx 30 minutes to an hour depending on the weather-flat black rustoleum wheel paint, and clear coat

  • Great video dude!

  • Could always sandblast it. Faster and way more efficient.

  • Looks great! Im going to do this to my Acura.

    Nice Subaru btw!

  • Very nice "How to Video!" Great Job.

  • @tylernader Thanks Tyler!

  • i always do it the lazyman's way xD

    1.) take the tire off

    2.) sandblast the rim

    3.) powdercoat the rim

    4.) bake the paint.

5.) put the tire back on

    6.) finished. :P

  • for future references, don't spray the wheel with armorall, it will not allow the primer to stick as well as it can. but great vid.

  • Nice video, just a few questions. Is 400 the finest that I should go?

How many coats of each did you put?

Approximately how much cans do i need?

  • Hi thanks for the video and tips i'm looking for techniques to re-spray some dull looking alloys black, for my Kawasaki GPZ900R, so your video will help me a lot.

  • i appreciate what you do man im subscribing thank you for your videos

  • @delijeogi Anything for you man ;)

  • You need a "3M Table" dude....gj

  • Dude I like the video but next time dont dont put that awful music man I cant hear anything that you're saying

  • mas q porco mesmo, nem tirou a roda do pneu....e ainda pintou de spray...

  • How did you spray the inside of the wheel? Did you paint the front, do the clear, wait for it to finish - then do the other side? Otherwise if you ever take your wheels off they are going to be gold back there...lol

  • Mighty mods is Australian so what's up with the English accent? Fail

  • Good vid, except the music drowns out your dialogue it places.

  • Tip Tip use a Mircofiber towel to get the sandings (paint clearcoat) off your sand paper.

  • Very nice. Did you paint your car yourself?

  • whats that cheap sticker you have on side lol

  • Comment removed

  • Nice wagon!

  • u did a incredible job man, a A+ goes out to u man!

  • @UPRalex Thanks man!

  • @zachwingfield is it hard to paint your wheels how long did all four take you? please respond, im thinking of doing this to my rims on my altima

  • @jayjayshoes 5-10 hours. Depends on how good of a job you do. I took a long time but that means the paint is gonna last a lot longer and look a lot better. It's worth it to take about a full day to work on it

  • Hey bro nice vid! The music kinda got in the way of you were saying but still very nice. Im going to spary the wheels on my eclipse black as well

  • That Legacy is soo dope.

  • how about if the rim is aluminum can can u still sand em ?

  • @BanielDrown They're red

  • @zachwingfield but red clearly needs to be changed! either a dark blue or black imo!! red is erk against the blue!

  • @BanielDrown Thanks Daniel Brown!

  • Tone down the music a bit mate, you can hardly hear you.

    But nice video! (y)

  • clean job man... the blue single lug nut is pretty bad ass

  • nice vid man!! but next time u should buy a self etching primer its made for metals! apply 3 coats primer then wet sand 400 grit then apply your enamel black.. it will loog great and last 1 coat of primer never holds deff when its just regular primer .. hope this help.. great vid

  • @STICKYCAPS Thanks

  • Im pretty sure ive seen you at MT.Hood bro!

  • @Tex719 You probably have!

  • btw,my rims are stock rims and gray and i'm going to dye them gray again for them to look original.and my primer is also gray..i've never seen anyone using gray primer on the videos..u think i should get a white primer instead? is there any difference?with the gray primer i have, the wheel paint is going to look darker? i wouldn't want it to look darker gray,my car is black,i think lighter would look more original and better.

    thanks in advance!

  • @madeofsulfur No don't worry about it-just make sure you get the right primer for the right project. Get gray if you want-as long as it's ment for your wheels

  • @zachwingfield the only english word on that spray is PRIMER =) well,i guess i'll be fine.. thank you so much!

  • i have been sanding down for like ages..my fingers hurt man,and i am a bit of a perfectionist,it took me days and i still think that i'm not done yet..is that much of sanding enough really or that much of it was enough for you just cuz u were going to paint it a darker color?

btw,all i have is my poor hands and sanding papers..no electronical device or a garage =) help me out please man! i'd be greatfull,i'm going mad with it..

  • very nice

  • looks fuckin tops mate

  • Wow nice job bro...this video is helpfull thanks

  • Why was the left parking lamp not smoked like the rest of the lights?

  • @carman81usa I got in an accident 5 months before today. I just haven't painted it yet

  • @zachwingfield Lol, now wondering how many car accidents have you had in your liftetime so far? I was only involved in one, and that was rear-ending a girl in her Hyundai, which pushed her into the car in front of her as well, I was driving my dad's 2000 GMC Envoy.

  • @carman81usa 3 accidents, 1 of them was my fault. I hit a curb on a round about when it was wet out. I went to fast around it.

  • @zachwingfield 3 accidents wow man, I am thinking that Subaru wagon of yours is bad luck. You would think a Subaru with AWD all the time wouldn't lose control in the wet weather, unless your tires were shot and had no tread, maybe it's the driver of the car that doesn't have quick enough reflexes :p J/K with you! lol

  • @carman81usa I actually had just got the car, just turned 16, and the previous owner put on three different brand and tread tires that had terrible tread. That's whyj

  • @zachwingfield Oh, yea I hear it's not good to have mis-matched tires on a car, so I can see why not you lost control, a guy like you should have noticed that right away though, lol No excuses man!

  • @carman81usa The funny thing is, I didn't even know how to change the oil when it happened. I've taught myself everything I know really quickly. My dad doesn't know anything about cars so I've been on my own.

  • @zachwingfield Wow, that is very impressive. I try to do most of my own maintenance on my vehicles as well, I usually have a good friend help me out though. My next job on my old car is like I had mentioned, I have to install new brake lines, and a new starter, my battery might still be good and just needs to be jumped, and I might have to siphon out the old gas and put in some fresh gas. Because the gas in there has to be around 4 or 5 years old now, lol. That's how long the cars been sitting

  • Good job man! I actually already knew how to do this! haha I paint my hubcaps. Which is a little easier haha. 1 tip though, when you have music, either try to talk louder or turn the music down.

  • @SubieSean Ya I know it was a little loud but with iMovie you have to put in another of the same track and shorten it to the time you cut off the first track and then change the audio, it's too much work for me to care haha

  • just how i did mine.. a+ man

  • really good job man

  • Whats with the contrast in the video....everything is so BLACK...lol

  • looks good! good video!!!

  • @theniceAZNguy1 Thanks! Hey I checked out your BNW meet video and my car's at 1:28!
