they have this video of her playign this at the Musical Instrument Museum in Scottsdale AZ for their exhibit on orchestras today. watching this it's easy to see why they'd pick it XD
Such a beautiful piece. Today I finally decided to change the concerto I have to do for an audition to this one. I hope I can be close to as good as her...she sets a very good example for me. She plays this so emotionally and beautifully.
@darkmillenium0000 yes,Du Pre had converted to Judaism and they were married. Their marriage lasted until Du Pres death(1987),but in the early 1980s,Barenboim began a relationship with the russian pianist Elena Bashkirova with whom he has two sons born in Paris prior to Du Pres death ...he tried to keep his relationship with Bashkirova hidden from Du Pre and believed he had succeeded. now they are married..:((
