dilbert, i dont know if what u say is true. the initial point maybe, but the second, i disagree. socialism does level everyone out, meaning equally poor, in the words of larry bates, but also creates a wealthy ruling elite

Man cannot invent a security system that can't be defeated. Any social system will permit some corrupt who seize political control for personal gain, incl business.

Eliminating ANY system is no answer. As a complex human society we LIKE systems for what systems offer, convenience and prosperity.

USSR had little wealth disparity compared to USA, but severe poverty after Clinton (Obama) economists "helped" them transition to "free markets" i.e. looting and garage sale.
