I checked some journeys from south east to northern destinations, it turned out you could get cheaper RETURN FLIGHTS to many European destinations and even to USA! Rail bosses gave the arrogant monopolist reply 'People are still buying' Shows their disgusting contempt & greed
my favorite is the Q stock that a man train no self lapper on the westinghouse brake handle or sliding doors, all electrical circuits were 630 volts we use to carry candles and matches for emergency lighting and paraffin lamps for the tail lights when we change ends those were the days an ex motorman
