Hopefully more of these properties go up in order to continue with the beautification of Watts/Compton. I find it entertaining that you mention Torrance, have you ever been to East side Torrance, Tortilla flats, or anywhere near 204th street and Western? Gardena, really, try going down Vermont past Artesia after dark. Hmmm...not the best examples of "safe cities". The current Mayor of Compton is doing a great job. The new center on Wilmington is phenomenal, you would think you're in PV or Hermosa. I live a half hour from Compton, but recently visited the new center on Wilmington and Greenleaf and didn't want to leave. Compton has made great improvements, since Omar Bradley was in office. Most of the people who live there are honest working citizens and need support, not criticism . . . especially if you don't know what you're talking about.

I said there is a new shopping center that would make you "think" you're in PV, because it is so well constructed and managed. That's what I said. AND I clearly stated that I did not live in Compton. As a matter of fact, I stated I lived 30 mins. west. But if I did, I would certainly not be complaining, I would be doing what I could to "personally" improve the city.

I don't particularly care to watch death, destruction and mayhem. I understand the motive behind it and yes it is better than half the garbage already on TV. However, from that promo it looks like you will still be watching a whole bunch of dumb people doing stupid things as well as innocent people getting caught up in senseless acts of violence. The FD seems to just be the crutch to make it ok. Lift us up, direct us on the right path and show others the good things they can be involved in.
