I don't normally like drag acts and the thought of a middle aged man dressing up as a woman and doing a talk show would usually have me reaching for the off switch.
But Dame Edna is something else entirely, she's absolutely fantastic and this show was great when it was on. It's great to see her on Youtube now.
There are interviews with Barry Humphries on Youtube too and from watching them it's clear how he makes the Dame Edna character his own and excels at it.
@leatwix Barry Humpries does this so beautifully. Dame Edna will be a character always remembered. We don't get to see the shows much anymore, but whenever it comes on, I'm glued to the tube!
I think it's amazing how well she/he works and talks and do the jokes seem natural..not part of an act...he is a great communicator..

I just love her.wish we would of got her show in America..I try to never miss her when she is on something here..so funny! The Best!
