Fabulous. I saw her in London a couple of years ago. She tends to operate under the radar in the UK. I hope she receives more acclaim in her native USA.
I loved that movie. It was so well put together, there's nothing to critique about it, it's just a great movie. All the feelings seemed real, all the camera angles were well needed, and the music fit it perfectly. It really makes me feel depressed, which is good. The director's want there movies to make you feel dependent on them, I certainly feel dependent on it. Great Job!
I like Carriers. It has drama, suspense, horror and performances are more than good (hunky Chris Pine is a bonus ;-p).. and the end..oh.. I didn't expect it to be so sad and moving, that final scene on the beach supported by this beautiful song perfectly described that melancholic feel of loneliness. That's the end that anyone is afraid of...
I Found this song because of Carriers. I enjoyed the movie; it was decent for a low budget, but this song... captivating. Such a melancholy mournful tempo, reminds me of a funeral march I witnessed in New Orleans.
I think that the movie portrays more then just human nature. I believe that in this movie, those who had survived, had reasons of their own that kept them wanting to live. Just as the brothers had eachother, bobby (the eldest brother's girlfriend) had him. And when those things were taken from them, their conciousness..their humanity, died. And so they became numb, only acting on the human instinct to survive. When that reason was taken from them, they just acted to survive. Beautiful movie.
Carriers made me cry in several parts, like when the guys abandomn Bobby, but I don't think the movie is pointless, I think it is actually showing the way that humans live, I felt ashame of being human while watching Carriers.
This song almost made me cry, and I don't cry at many things. The Film was a little weird, at first I thought it was going to be a film about breaking rules like stealing cars and stuff, but it turned out to be breaking the rules of survival.
I'm surprised by how much I liked 'Carriers'. I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be a really good little dystopian drama. However, the real treat was this song at the end. So perfect! This is the sound of anguish, longing, regret and fear with an undertone of anger delivered with the lullaby sweetness of someone almost too tired to continue giving a fuck. I love it!
@inforser90 It isn't pointless, it actually has a very strong point; that of the way humans live.. it is one of the only realistic pandemic films i've ever seen and they have made a very successful job of making it. Read the others' posts, they share my point.
The credits say that Colby Trane was the muisc choordinatior but I think it's the Directors job to actually choose what gets to be heard in the film. I'd like to know who chose it so they could get props. Good choice my friend. Carriers for the Win.
Enjoyed the movie, good ending to. Song went well.... Her voice is so pretty and peacefull to listen to. Even though it was the end song for Carriers. lol
the song is like the ending of carriers, it's empty but then again deep and full of memories. I liked the ending it's not just another action ending like in I am Legend, it's very real to what i think would happen if there would be a killing virus..
Just watched Carriers. Definately thought provoking and one of those films I will think about for a few days. Post apocolypse is supposed to be fun. This seems like it touched on what it would really be like. Sucky. Nina Nastasia makes it all better!
heard the song at 2 am after watching the movie, next day i found myself playin it on my guitar. wish more people made such music. its in my head the whole day!
Was a good movie, but i finished watching the movie last night about 1 am and heard this song at end of credits. I had to get my ass outta of bed to write down the artist and song, awesome
ahahah so i see it had the same effect on many people... not just me... i wrote down on my cellphone notes the artist and the song, so that i wouldnt get out of bed :D
Oh my goodness, i just finished watching Carriers, haha thats why im here searching this song. that movie made me cry when they left the little girl and her dad, also when they left bobby and then....Brian ): haha you guys probably dont caree :)
This song at the end of the movie came just perfect....After that kind of movie where you can see what could happen in the world, this song makes you wondering about stuff.... If you listen to this song, after you first watch a movie give you even bigger efect on that what happend in the movie...Its just great......
This movie was only good ironicly. It seemed like a forced zombieland, even though I saw that movie after this. It was good in the sense that you could talk shit about it while it was going on if you were around friends while viewing. I'm a sucker for these types of movies. Carriers was such a good movie, you are right. Chris Pine is a fantastic actor. I was so saddened by Brians death. My mom thought he was just an ass. Which he was, but if you thinjk about all the shit he went through, he has reason to be. I loved his character. The movie was one of my favorites. The song was just..perfect.
