    Your argument is invalid

  • @BONEKILL666 i saw them last saturday... ENJOY THE FUCKIN LIGHT SHOW!!!

  • You people fucking make me sick, search up the lyrics and stop fucking arguing.

  • Attention: People arguing about the meaning behind the music. Please just listen to the music where exactly do you think you will go by arguing? do you think you will convince the other person that you are arguing with? do you want to be right about what you are saying? well you will get neither by commenting here however your best bet is to meet who you are arguing with face to face and either have at it or come to terms and agree to disagree It really is quite simple

  • i <3 tool

  • Top Comment.

  • I can understand why people may not like this music. Tool is for the actively thinking, experienced musician or the all around intelligent person. All the trolls on this video just hate what they can't understand. Let 'em troll.

  • i cant be entertained until someone dies how about you?

    dont lie.

  • This music video will go down in history as one of the strangest.

  • Tool is more than music it's a "Tool to expand communication" Eat some acid and think bout it!

  • these guys dig some acid

  • man these guys suk so bad. wat do u even call this shit?

  • The lyrics just made me cry. Why humanity needs to act like this. Just WHY???!!!

  • @sick172 Because most are simple Monkeys... that is all.

  • @sick172 i hate you and everyone like you

  • @sick172 the sooner we accept it the sooner we get past it. Pretending otherwise helps nobody

  • MMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!

    That's some GOOD SHIT!

  • Mailace sent me :D

  • hitler's dick

  • Amazing and beautiful video. This is what motivated artists can do when they decide to use modern media capabilities to try to explain the complexities of the human experience. Unfortunately this ability is too often squandered, with people instead choosing to inundate us with videos that cater to the lowest common denominator of simplistic cheap emotions and daydreams. Not saying there isn't a place for that, just that it's way over-represented.

  • @PHELCAN I'll do my best to be polite but since your opinion fortunately has no relevance to the subject of tool because your obviously an uneducated twat who needs to have a bullet shot between the eyeballs. go fuck yourself !

  • the thumbnail looks like someone sticking a qtip into their eye

  • @PHELCAN I'll do my best to be polite since I used to be just like you. If, when you get a bit older, you realize that truly skilled musicians are more concerned with conveying emotions and ideas instead of trying to impress people with solos and cool band names, come back and listen to tool, then you might understand why people like me enjoy listening to them. Until then, go listen to bands you like and maybe try to have enough maturity to respect others' opinions. Have a nice day.

  • @DANNYHEADSHOT agreed.

  • If Tool's the worst band you've ever heard, I'd like to know where you find your music. The musicians are incredible, especially the rhythm that goes beyond any kind of 4/4 or 3/4 beat that you and I could ever dream of. I find 'hardcore' bands these days just screaming versions of blink-182. Tool keeps their artistic integrity and does it to just create great music. If you think this is the worst band in the world, then your taste sucks.

  • Tool is the worst fucking band I have ever heard. There songs are just shitty emo riffs played OVER AND OVER AND OVER again for 10 fucking minutes, with no solo, because they blow so hard they can't even play solos. Not to mention their name, tool, who the fuck names their band tool? Why not just name your band "ass zebra" because honestly, that is a cooler fucking name "tool".

  • @PHELCAN Ah yes! The pubescent, Steve Vai fellating, guitar humping endomorph strikes again! I used to get my dick in knots about how bands didnt play solos every two minutes- then i grew up, and realized good music resonated emotion and provokes thought (UGH THOUGHT BRAIN HURT) over technical skill. Comment on things you don't understand all you want, not my problem- But unless you don't open your mind and learn to grow and accept new things, you'll never get a sentient girlfriend.

  • @PHELCAN bro chill. dont just hate to hate. listen to the lyrics and understand their strong emotional output. right everyone?

  • hey dudes, did some of you heard about LizZard does somebody knows where can i get more of their songs?, because speaking of Prog or Alternative rock metal....they rule, and not as TOOLs wanna be

i recommend you to shake it by yourself

    i just know one song

    LizZard The Orbiter

PS: not promo or spam here dudes, just sharing the info about music

  • You see kids? This is why we DON'T do halucenegenics!

  • @Szchophreniac This is why we DO hallucinogenics. FTFY

  • tool videos are always so interesting with amazing visuals

  • M A D S O U N D !

  • one word.......illuminati

  • @CaIrOOMaLi No, that's Parabola. Go watch that video and tell me it doesn't look like Illuminati.

  • @CaIrOOMaLi three words... Ordo Templi Orientis

  • ACID!!!!

  • I believe in God, I don't think they want you do disbelieve that he is real or not. Tool is great because they just want you to open your mind and not just listen to a preacher or a high ranking official for the bull shit lies they tell.

  • Well that's not creepy at all.

  • my brain hurts

  • well ill be honest...that was one hell of a video for such an awesome song. not entirely sure what i just watched...but it was fucking cool!

  • shit audio quality for such a good song

  • @Thermingt0n Blame the person who uploaded it.

  • @Thermingt0n Blame the person who uploaded it.

  • Tool could make a song about eating a turkey sandwich and people would still argue about if it has any religious significance. SMH...just shut up...

  • @BigLotz15

well they already made a song about how to make german chocolate cake why not eating a turkey sandwich

  • @BigLotz15 A turkey sandwich is laden with religious symbolism. The base of any sandwich is bread, which Jesus stated 'This is my body' during the last supper. Christians still eat it at communion in remembrance of him.

No turkey sandwich is complete without mayo, the base of which is egg. Eggs have symbolized life, birth and renewal even before they were Easter symbols.

Turkey itself is from the new world, and would have been unknown in Jesus' time. Continued..

  • @BigLotz15 So clearly the Turkey refers to the Mormon belief that Jesus appeared to the American Indians.

Can't you see there are literally layers of meaning in a turkey sandwich?! And don't even get me started on the tomato..

  • @blade568 whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat it's CLEARLY about the Vietnam War. stfu gtfo nub

  • @BigLotz15 Not arguing you're point. Just saying I don't think there's any tool song with religious significance...maybe spiritual or involving the concept of infinity, but religions? none

  • @BigLotz15 well... that is the purpose of Tool's music, no? To be interpreted by the listener, hopefully used for better self-searching. That's how I take it at least, since I think their music is a "Tool" for us to use and improve ourselves with. If someone is using the music a means of expressing themselves or bringing out radical thought, then at least they can learn more of themselves.

  • because i need to watch 374 people die, from a good safe distance

  • I'm lost. Some of you are trying to understand what the songs are about? lol just listen to the music and rock out!

  • Love this shit.

  • Song gets me every damn time.

  • im sick of everyone announcing there oppinions on tools songs. I tried to explain what wings of marie was about to my brother and he punched me in the mouth before i finished one sentence, then he explained that bands as spiritual and deep as tool should not have a defined meaning. its all about the listeners perception. I listened to these words of wisdom and now i ask you do the same, stop the squabbling about your idea of a song being the right one.

  • Its funny cuz every Christian/Atheist YouTube troll on here or anywhere is acting out vicariously. Thank you for proving Tool's point

  • I bet Tool's looking at this comment thread and just saying, "what the fuck...?"

  • Oh Alex Grey, you so crazy

  • people with religious agendas shouldn't really come to what for them must be ' the scene of the crime' why dont you all piss off to some christian website and have your little god discussions there? there you go . bye bye now ---the rest of us Tool fans are off to have a joint now...

  • I love the way people throw out the state of the world we live in and try to claim that it is somehow all God's fault. God created us all, gave us this world to live in and this is what we've done with it. He gave us free will and detailed instructions on how to get it right. We've been busily screwing it up ever since and blaming it all on Him.

  • @FaithUnfaltered haha, thats funny

  • @FaithUnfaltered To what do you refer as "detailed instructions" that this imaginary god supposedly gave us?

  • Wouldn't it be cool to have those fish-sperm-worm things as pets?

  • All of life started at molten vents in the sea floor. We are truely all one

  • it looks like sperm lmao jk

  • My teacher listen to this music too!

  • I know this song from the Guitar Hero :3 Thank you, Guitar Hero!

  • who cares what it means what they mite lead you to think it means could be something very different to what it does mean to themselves its a good song

  • 2:12-2:15 my face through the entire video

  • Love this album

  • @Sanctionme Good comment, religion is best kept out of everything anyway. @MuzikCulture, this is a quote stolen from someone with a much greater mind than mine "you already don't believe in hundreds of other gods, you just need to go one further" Richard Dawkins.

  • Well the word vicarious means to experience through someone else, and the song is always talking about viewing from a safe distance, so it's about people watching the news or a movie or something and getting enjoyment or even self righteous about what they're seeing when they aren't even involved. Kinda like a keyboard warrior watching war footage on youtube talking shit when he's safe at home.

  • @kingboss9000 VERY WELL PUT!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who dreams up these fucking nightmares?

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN A nightmare DMT trip is who. As Reznor say's Thing's aren't as pretty on the inside.

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN there not nightmares you're living in them. This is just the metaphysical aspect of it.

  • Tool's videos always fascinate me. Its different and I like things that aren't the same. Makes things interesting.

  • If you would like a song that really goes against religon then A perfect circle - judith would be right about perfect. And ofcourse Maynard's genious is behind that song too ;-)

  • BUM BUM TAAAAAN BUM BUM BU TAAN BUM BUM BU TAAN BUMBURUBUM!

  • good song but what the fucks up with the video lol

  • Awesome song always makes my day :)

  • Greatest Video Award for all Vids! :))

  • wow. great song.

  • I cant be the only one who thinks this video is about spirituality. I believe its about seeing things in a different way and then your mind breaking free once you see the truth. Once your mind is free you explore who you truly are on the inside. After that you transcend and you are closer to becoming one with the multiverse.

  • the only thing i dislike about tool is that they broke my damn speakers

  • @Sanctionme THANK YOU. Someone that actually knows what he's talking about on the internet.

  • ...

  • super

  • and your a fuckin homo. that is all

  • tol sux

  • @PiIsARational k....well they dont your just fucking dumb

  • @PiIsARational "tol sux" wow dude... learn to spell idiot and tool, apc, and puscifer are the greatest bands to grace the earth because of the message they have if you would just listen to the songs...

  • fuck religion

  • artistic expression like pablo picaso rembrant etc. and beliveing in god is not stupid it is a reason to do good for others and create hope

  • you should all quit arguing about religous belife that is what causes stupid war just enjoy the music and allow it to entertain you

  • This song has nothing to do with Religion what-so-ever. This song is about how we allow the media/television run our lives. How it influences our decisions in life, he we create political war from the media standpoint. How we destroy each other and thrive on the destruction we see on the news....Vicarious - performed or suffered by one person as a substitute for another or to the benefit or advantage of another. There ya go folks.

  • @Sanctionme

    Such deep insight...

Lines like "Stare like a junkie into the TV" really baffle me, I had no clue what it meant (well, I thought it had something to do with Sharia law). But then you showed up and posted your thorough analysis in this comment section. Changed my life. Thanks.

  • @Sanctionme When people hear a sting of words like:hands to the sky saying "why? why?"- they love to play the victim and claim it's religion being shoved in their faces again. They won't even listen to the rest of the song to know what it's really saying.I guarantee you some idiot is going to be offended at what I say because, instead of changing themselves, they're just going to chew me out for being honest.

  • @Sanctionme also is explains that we fuel on disaster and horrible tragities and we act as if it is bad, yet we have a lust for it. we like it when others around us are hurt, yet we want to stay away from the disasters.

  • @Sanctionme yes, that about sums it up

  • @Sanctionme Well that interesting, but I think the song talk about the violent primal instincts of human beings and how we need and embrace violence because the Homo Sapiens Sapiens is an animal so it allways been....

  • @Sanctionme

LOL I love it when people try to break Maynards lyrics into meanings....

he says interpret it however you want!!! This song could be about having a TV in the freaking bathroom. LOL That's why I love them so much. There deeper than a cold sore.... lol Music is how you interrupt it, that's the beauty of it.

  • @Thirdeyesight01 Well this is how I interpret it. Your opinion can differ. :) I'm not closing off anyone else's feelings about this song...people are so insecure here. >.>

  • @Sanctionme question which cd is this on? Im a new tool fan bough four abulms fav is Parabola and Aenema but this track on my cd is only 2 minutes long by the sme name so has this been released on any abulm?

  • @jamesthq Lateralus

  • @jamesthq Ten Thousand Days, sir. :)

  • @Sanctionme this song is about shut the fuck up

  • @enigma414 You're awesome man. Appreciate it....

  • Wow. This song isn't even about religion.

  • @MackandSonCo It has a spiritualism-related video.

  • @MackandSonCo ... Remember Kids, Science flies you to the moon. Religion flies you into buildings.

  • @94Grimkid that was a retarded statement since science is the main reason we have airplanes.

  • @Dat0r and medicine

  • Does it say anywhere that Tool is a religious rock group? Didnt think so.

Regardless of if you think a Tool song has a religious connotation, I say

    Keep religion out of Tool...

  • The guitar part 2:53 makes me go mongoloid .

  • WATCH THIS STONED. HOLY SHIT THAT WAS AMAZINNNNG.

  • @Glowmunster666 lol alot of people do my friend. ALOT watch it on acid and you it may fliup your world upside down.

  • I thought of this song when I just read on Facebook about a bank robber who shot himself in the head today when the police pulled him over on the freeway. The freeway is also closed in both directions through the night because he may have had a hazardous substance in the car. This story was receiving an insane amount of attention and it just made me want to hear this song. The video is way trippy. Love it!

  • don't get me wrong i know some very smart religious folk but the whole idea of religion is well unintelligent millions of people believing that one benevolent being can fix this world? religions had to have come from a single mans original thought all religions Christianity especially have a hard time accepting that when you argue with a christian they argue back like a child la la la I cant hear you your wrong Im right etc. I have a predilection for all things binary and just, religion isn't

  • I come here expecting top comments on how creative and amazing the video and music is but instead there shit about religion.

    Religion is war

    One love.

  • great bamd gross video XP

  • NOBODY CARES IF YOUR ATHIEST!!! OR CHRISTIAN! OR WHATEVER. LISTEN TO THE DAMN MUSIC.

  • Last I checked, I came here for the music, not the religion bullshit. Not that it's any of my business but seriously, what the fuck.

  • Some people say heaven doesn't exist because it is made up. Then I ask you this, the very music you are listening right now is made up as well, but it does exist. That prooves that things that are made up can as well exist...

  • @MuzikCulture What in the hell are you talking about? That makes literally no sense.

  • @drumline17 Yes,you're right, but it's a interesting view of playing with language. This song is made up by tool, but it does exist. I don't really believe in god as well.

  • @MuzikCulture you dont really believe in him? what so what your saying is you dont want to commit to atheism because youre afraid if god is real that he wont take you....but not really believing leaves the chance of minor belief and youre hoping that would save your ass. Well hes not real hes an invention and nothing more theres no point on letting him indimidate.

  • @mikey41rules No I don't believe in him because we don't have any proof that he exists. However, we don't have any proof that he doesn't exist, so there's always a chance that he exists. But if He exists, he isn't really a good God, just look at what a mess this world is...

  • @MuzikCulture yeh thats what i always say if he is real then hes the biggest douchebag there is..

  • @MuzikCulture three words- free will beyotch. :)

  • @MuzikCulture the reason this world sucks so much is because of sin, the reason for sin is adam and eve, to save us God sent his only son to die for us, to wipe us from sin so that for those who believe in him will live forever in his kingdom

  • @tektahr well, that was over 2000 years ago. God could've done more in that time. After all, he created this planet and all it's live in a week.

  • @MuzikCulture god doesn't exist, he will never exist... he's just a cash crop

  • @ClassicRockMan95 Please explain yourself why you're so sure. I don't believe in God as well, but I (and not only I but every scientist) can't proof why God DOESN'T exist.

  • @MuzikCulture i'm sure there's no god because there's no proof of its existance

  • @MuzikCulture IF he exists, do you really think he cares about us, there are far greater things in universe than humans.

That's just my opinion anyway :)

  • @stevocro Then, why did he even put all the effort of creating us if he gives shit about us...

  • @MuzikCulture maybe just a byproduct

  • My headphones can barely comprehend the awesome music coming through them in a constant stream.

  • I'm not sure what I just watched, but it was awesome.

  • the best song from 10 000 days

  • I can't even watch this video sober. What the fuck.

  • I really can't get my head around just how Maynard is able to come up with such perfect lyrics. He seems to get it perfect every single time. The lyrics are so chillingly true; makes you think about just how sadistic the human race really is. Maynard is easily the best songwriter around, and I would be impressed to hear of anybody else able to come close to Maynard's ability to put such thought, such emotion, and such horrible truth into their lyrics.

  • go watch the movie FROM BEYOND

  • funny how no one talks about this amazing tool video or tool song or even about the band. you all suck and need to go die somewhere.

  • great vid. poor sound quality.

  • i love tool

  • where is the dislike bar.

  • the worst video and album by tool...I hope they'll improve with the next one. there are much better bands out there these days.

  • 3rd eye

  • love the drumming in this band

  • i don't think its a big deal if someone doesn't believe in god, but i think it's a good to believe in SOMETHING. believing in something gives you a sense of right and wrong and what you should and shouldn't do (the 10 commandments are all pretty basic things that everyone could consider "bad", killing, stealing, ect.). i myself am a deist and if u don't know what that is do some research. organized religion retards human kind

  • @italiaboy1123 Err, laws and being raised not to be an asshole have given me a decently firm grasp of what's right and what's wrong.

  • no jodas !!!, puedes crearte tantas visiones e imaginar tantas realidades con música y videos como los de Tool, es muy bueno, shit !

  • I don't think of any of Tool's songs as songs, they're experiences. Same with their videos. So I can safely say I experienced this video. I didn't understand a second of it, but that doesn't matter.
