  • @bassmaster361 shut da fuck up goffy mf itz kinda cool

  • No wonder he's active - he's trying to figure out how to get out of that tiny tank and strangle the idiot who trapped him in there. Come on, aquariums are usually a lot more humane than this...

  • I think he also knows who is gonna win the next world cup, don't ya wiseass!

  • Cruel.

  • Very cruel

  • Poor thing, I'm not a expert but it needs a bigger tank

  • Tako! Om nom nom nom!

  • Octopus is such a creepy creature.

  • @NLBS90 its connected to a bunch of other small aquariums! Don't worry!

  • Morgana :))

  • i got like hella respect for this dude..

  • some thousand years from now they'll be preying on humans and dominating Earth!

  • @tratorta si una vez vi un documental sobre la próxima especie dominante y el pulpo es de las mas sobresalientes, si en unos miles de años claro

  • Its Ursula daughter! :D

  • poor thing, living in captivity and in such a small aquarium

  • it's a baby kraken!!!

  • The whole time the octopus is thinking, "I'm gonna kill you, let me at 'em..."

  • this actually seems kind of cruel.

  • I think octopuses r aliens :O

  • I don't even think octopuses are from this planet.... Look at all the damn suction cups! and they are super strong! ...creeeepyyyy

  • bog Octopus small tank.. so sad..

  • Here comes Davy Jones' kraken!

  • i want to eat that octopus

  • is it imprisoned in such a small place? it gives me angst to see that.

  • you know hes pissed in that small tank

  • I'M CALLING PETA. WAIT WTF.... peta supports this? WHAT

  • " oh mann i'm trapped in this small space will all these weirdos looking at me .. pervs..."

  • you know I'm no expert but that animal needs a way bigger tank

  • that tank is too small for him... he needs a bigger one.

  • I bet that Octopus is smarter than most people commenting on this video.

  • big guy needs a bigger tank!

  • that looks exactly like the vancouver aquarium.......

  • i saw this in my 5th grade science class

  • needs a bigger tank

  • that tank is to small for that poor octopus

  • It seems to be a trend of having small tanks for this specific octopus species...that can generally grow to 8-14 ft. arm span. The Adventure Aquarium (New Jersey) and New York State Aquarium both house giant octopus as well with very small tanks, so the octopus only grows to about as large as its tank. Its been made clear by aquarists that they dont "need" large tanks in terms of surviving and comfort, however, it wouldnt hurt to have bigger spaces with more enrichment options for the animal

  • @darrenquirolo1234 not at all, octopus like living in small dens.

  • There was apparently a 37 foot octopus found in Tacoma, never heard about that...

  • ew!

  • OMG every freakin time I watch another thing about giant octopus, I see another nit wit whining about his tank space...again for the millionth time...octopus are not big on territory, they have little stamina, and they would rather sit in a hole all day waiting for food to come by than expend energy swimming. They don't need a lot of space because they can fit their body into any nook and cranny, and they prefer it that way...professional keeper at a zoo know more than youtube ding bats...yeesh

  • @FiestyCat86 That is true, but octopi are also extremely intelligent creatures and a tank THAT small would torture the octopus, for it most definitely does not have the proper stimuli available, unless they take him/her out of there into a larger play area on a regular basis.

  • @rooftoptile04 thats why they have enrichment. They give them jars to open, mussels to crack, toys to explore. They don't need to be stressed out and removed from their home to be entertained.

  • @FiestyCat86 Also, if it were to release ink in there, it would almost certainly die

  • @rooftoptile04 Octopus are like skunks, they only ink as a last resort when they are sure that their lives are in danger. They are intelligent enough to know their keepers by sight and taste, and unless they are mistreated they have no reason to ink.

  • @FiestyCat86 I suppose you're right, i just feel like i would be bored out of my skull in there ;)

  • @rooftoptile04 Oh me too. And believe me if it were a dolphin or a shark in there I'd be down right outraged about it. But I did do a little research and I found that an octopus have extremely low oxygen levels in her blood, meaning she's got maybe five minutes max of stamina for physical activity. Otherwise she's happy to just explore what nearest to her, and to eat until she fat and healthy enough to have babies. Sorry i did sound like kinda a know it all...my bad.

  • @FiestyCat86 Hahaha It's fine, in fact, it was fun to actually have an intelligent conversation on youtube for a change :)

  • @rooftoptile04 Oh believe me I know...those seems to be far and few between with the typical you tube commenters. If they aren't cussing you out and calling you all kinds of names because they have no idea how to back that they say, they're spouting false information and making stupid observations. But hey you are a breath of fresh air. Thank you.

  • hope hes not closterphobic
