Im a local 5 five plumber with state welding lic.,backflow cert., med gas, state plum lic, rigging/ signal, and CFC certification. Ive been working this trade for 30 years and you boy are a disgrace to America.
The difference between a fitter and a plumber(even commercial/industrial) is so vast that there isn't room in the comments to list it all. Basically, a plumber is a fitter in training.
@lostcowhand Plumbing's all about water supply and DWV, the foundation of any mechanical system. So you're sort of correct--get a plumbing ticket first, then move on to Boilermaking or Steamfitting, I'd say.
This video is proof, it takes 4 fitters to do the job of one plumber.
