Ive been doing that for years, red or amber or white. Buy some methylene chloride. After fitting the pieces together use a glass hyperdermic needle if you can find one to let the methylene chloride drip out into the cracks and piece edges and it imediately fuses the plexiglas together. Also one can disolve plexiglas with the methylene chloride in a glass bottle to make a red paste or amber etc. The methylende chloride can be purchased on ebay. .
I took the lens apart from the housing and used clear plastic and tape on the inside. I mixed a epoxy I purchased from Autozone and red dye mixed and taped around the damaged part of the lens, I filled in the hole with the epoxy. once it was flush, I let it cure/dry then used 1500 grit wet sandpaper and touched it up. I then sprayed the repair with clear coat. after a few days I polished it and it looked really great. I'm sort of a OCD perfectionist though
@cedricpod No it didn't, I bought it seperatly from autozone, the epoxy was clear also. It was a vinyl dye. Definitely give it a try. I was happy with the results, Dealer prices for replacements are expensive!
@cedricpod Sorry for the the last reply. They carry it at my autozone. If you can't find any I have found that red food coloring from wal-mart works just as well. Use very small amounts. The more drops the darker red you can achieve. You might also have to add more epoxy/hardener. Test first to color match if needed. =-)
@CryMoreToEazy I also wanted to mention if you want to remove the lens from the housing, just heat the oven to 150-180 and set the light on a block of wood to prevent melting. Set the block of wood on a cookie sheet and set a timer or keep an eye on your watch for 7 to 10 mins and you can pry it apart. =-)
throw some glue that dries hard like crazy glue or gorilla glue, then with some sandpaker even it out, and to finalize it grab a can of clear coat spray paint to make the sanded area look glossy again, then upload the video on you tube :)
that shit is more fucked up than when it was broken... he should have just lefted it how it was. lmfao

That technique sounds great. Did the red dye come with the epoxy ? I have a bottle of clear epoxy I could try if I had the red dye.

Sounds great. Where did you buy the vinyl dye ? I looked at AutoZone ( using intergoogle ) and could not find the epoxy.

Why not just replace the whole glass?
It would be easier!
