  • sweet vid man. ducks covered yall up early

  • sweet video, I have been looking at the mount for myself but can't decide which camera to get. Which camera were y'all using?

  • @TheQuackerSmacker JVC Mini DV. Nothing fancy, but it works.

  • is there a different in taste between mallard ducks and other ducks?

  • @ploetzlich30

UMMMMM I Can't Tell the Difference But Canada Geese Are more Juicy in Side So really i find Geese you can tell and there better

  • hella good action bro

  • have you ever had any problems with the camera mount?

  • like the vid i would have shot a lot more, so reload your shells it saves you money in the long run but over all nice vid!

  • @theweston123 We shot our limit of wood ducks in 15 minutes so that's why we weren't shooting everything that came in.

  • you guys dont shoot as much as you could but what ever you do shoot at you hit so you end up shooting better. awsome vid and good shooting

  • awesome footage man,im from southern alberta and my family has a ton of farmland not to mention my neighbors all farm too so i allways have plenty of places to shoot geese.lots of swamps lakes and canals as well so this season ive hammered alot of ducks,u should see the birds so far this year and they all havent even begin to come in yet!!!

  • just had opening day today in Nebraska/South Dakota in the Missouri river A LOT OF SPECKS AND TEAL jnot any canadas and some pintail we shot 1 canada and a drake pintail and a albino teal and a normal teal both blue wing

  • great video man! getting me pumped for opening day 2009!

  • same with me! i got a 25 acre swamp calling me

  • what shells were yall shootin cause they did a number on those woodies

  • nice

  • seems like ya kill every duck that came in

  • those must be teal

  • Some... Teal mostly come in tightly pact flocks of about 15-30 birds and do crazy evasive manuvers... I just let um go... not worth the shot. Not to mention teal would be about half of those bird's size... they looked like mostly mallards to me.

  • awesome video! you guys have a pretty good spot there it looks like!

  • obviously yall shot the last ducks on the water because the camera stopped recording when you said get them

  • @dgilc2 They were pintail hens. We just let them fly off.

  • jesus what time is shoot time where u live...i hunt at a private duck club in souther california and everyday we have a new shoot time.....but our club is aswome we get every species of duck..and we get geese..i went sunday for the youth hunt with my little brother and we shot a 15 pound honker straight from canada he was on steroids...duck and geese hunting is the greatest thing in the world

  • 30 minutes before sunrise. I'm not sure why everyone keeps asking that. Camera light is a good 15 minutes later that what you can see with your eyes. I started recording about 5 minutes before sunrise (25 minutes after shooting time).

  • People don't understand that when you video...the video camera shows it to be darker than it is....

When videoin' a hunt it is best to wait until the sun is up to get the best video footage...

    Great little video...

Only point I will make is that most of those birds you shot on tape was either woodies or teal...(not all the mallards you posted in the pic at the end)

  • You guys are lucky down there. Here in Minnesota, we have to wait unti like 9:00 am... ~2 hours after sunrise!!!

Thats just for opener though, We have to shoot at sunrise all other times.

  • yea in wisconsin we got 9 too it used to be noon up until a few years ago

  • In Oregon We hunt at 7:35 AM

  • what kind of camera do u use, I know the mount but this is great footage and I am going to start this year video taping my hunts in vermont and I was wondering what you would recommend for a camera

  • Great hunt! I live down by Otter Slough Mo,its pretty good but flooded with people!

  • what kind of shot and brand and size shell were you using

  • awsome action great vid

  • just like nintendo

  • o thats cool. Down here in SC where i hunt all we kill is mosty woodies

  • r most of those woodies that yall were killin

  • There was 4 of us hunting. Limit is 2 wood ducks each, so we shot 8. We filled the rest with a mix of mostly greenheads, and a couple gadwalls, and teal.

  • good callin fellas!

  • 41 thru 43 is a nice shot!!

  • What kind of camera/camera mount do u have on your gun?

  • 1/2 hour before sunrise.

  • ya hunt in MN.....

  • Never have.

  • So many ducks... he dont know which one to take. ahahaha :) I like that. Awesome. good job.

  • Looks like you guys have one hell of a hunting spot!

  • Boy, that was some nice shootin especially with that gun cam. by the way where can i get one of those.

  • Great Video man

  • My good GRIEF there were a lot of ducks that morning.

  • why dont you guys shoot the woodies?

  • We did. You can only shoot 2 each though, and we shot those pretty quick at first light. It's hard to turn on the camera fast enough to get them on film.

  • Nice shooting!!!

  • Please tell my why you past up some of those easy shots?

  • not to be a bother but anyone got any advice for loads for ducks. I use to use lead #2's but now I heard the steel shot isn't that good, what would you reccommened

  • they fucking suck at shooting god damn yah suck

  • iratherbefishing your a douchebag, they killed enough ducks to be satisfied. Grow up. I hate morons that just go around saying negative stuff about videos.

  • idratherbefishing seems to like hunting enough to lookup duck hunting videos on youtube, i think that is hilarious.. lol oh and duramax awsome video..

  • Depends on the scenario. Open water hunting, marsh (long shots or close)? Big duck (Gad, Pins, Cans) Small duck, (ringneck, ruddy, teal)? I'd say best all around would be 2 or 3 shot. And Kent steel is the best for the price and the most consistent. Hope this helps.

  • Lead is not legal to use to take waterfowl. Steel is much better than when it first came out. Speed kills. Kents good stuff. Personally, I like 1 3/8oz. loads of 2 shot. The faster, the better.

  • 3 1/2in shells with 1 1/2oz shot #2's lol

  • steel sucks ass still tho but i guess its better for the environment

  • wicked video!!!!!!

  • this is the best duck hunting video in youtube.. congrats..

  • do u not see the sun rising in the back

  • JVC D290 miniDV

  • little early are we shootin time is at sun rise

  • You are an idiot. Shooting time is 1 half hour before sunrise.

  • nice shooting guys! thats a ton of ducks

  • where is this location??????

  • Mississippi. As the title says.

  • You made some good shots on those ducks. The barrel cams are awesome! How much do they run?

  • Cool video. When you get a chance check out my duck hunting video.

  • or is it just the mount peice and a regular video camera on it?

  • Could You Show how you mounted the Camera on the Gun.. Maybe show on Video???

  • That's awesome man,

how much are the barrel cam's?

and where did you get it from?

  • What fun! It's been a long time since I was on an opening day hunt like that.

  • Great Action !! Member on Neck of the woods outdoors com would love it. Please post with us, free registration and upload. Thanks Steve
