Your New Zealand fellow reviewer does not have financial interests in this product. Did you find quality control issues - soft metal bolts (missing and not at all tightened), poor engineering design on the hardware? Thank you for pinpointing the beta-software faults: not yet ready for retail sale.

  • 3400mAh and 35C! ... That C is enough, realy depending on it. I try 5200mAh 20c - is not enough, same as 2200mAh 20C and 2200mAh 25C. Be care for C nuber for quadcopters.

  • Please don't apologize for your English Mr. Ali. You speak very well and clearly! I very much appreciate your time, effort, and ability when providing such useful information as your videos and expertise has brought me much more able to be excited about RC fun!! I thank you good sir!

  • Looks quite wobbly. You didn't mention that in your honest review. I haven't checked the Gopro footage yet, but I can't see it being usable, as every time I've seen the 580 fly it's wobbling the entire time. The AR drone is more stable than this!

  • what is the payload rating on this one?

    thanks!

  • hey ali ,,,even me i am assembling quadcopter after a couple of days,,,,i want to make it stable,,is there anything i should really take care wen i assemble it,,, thnx,,,

  • @donbahadur you got a T580? God bless you. be ready for a flip of death

  • siema bastek

  • what did he say takes the worries of hovering away at 1:45?

  • I have tested this quad for 2 weeks now. By the time the low voltage buzzer beeps, is battery is down to 10.8V. That is not good. If the throttle is above 70% it beeps once and the quad drops from the sky. I put an FPV set up on it with a 230gm Lumix camera. It can only fly safely for about 4mins. I dont think that is enough for serious AP. On landing, 2 motors positioned diagonally are hotter than the other 2 motors. Can anybody advice me what is wrong? It is still a fun quad though.

  • will someone tell me where i can get one from,,,im in ireland here,,,this thing i badly need for AP as helis didnt work out for me?

  • @otchacallit I will be the one selling them out soon. wait for new one coming out.

  • @otchacallit Try Quattro-Byte search on YouTube for a stable cost effective platform for aerial photography. Efficient, Elegant and Affordable to all.

  • Heh, ,You speek better english than most of us Americans for sure Ali!

  • @Tigratx :D ah thanks, thats a big comfort :D

  • Nice machine, I have really got to get moved and then get my cash together and get one!! Thanks for the video Ali!!

  • @Tigratx get your cash together. I have just become the world wide distribution agent for T580 of Lotus RC. we are going to release the T580DX (V2) next month. Just watch my coming up video. that thing can fold into something really small that carrying is piece of cake, unfold and Ready to fly in 1 minute on field, fold back to store and carry in a minute too. Better altitude hold, new firmware, bigger propellers and new hardware. :D coming soon. you can buy it off my site directly from me

  • @alishanmao Can you tell me just about how much the T580DX (V2) will cost?

  • @alishanmao Hey, that's great! Can you tell me your web site so that I can buy from you?

  • @Tigratx Try Quattro-Byte search on YouTube for a stable cost effective platform for aerial photography. Efficient, Elegant and Affordable to all.

  • @bijayada Bad info...

  • hello, you'd know it does not work tell me?

  • HAHAHAHA LOL Alishan, 4:29 made me laugh SOOO MUCH! I love your sense of humour man!

  • A bloody good video. Very informative. I was going to mount a HD camera on a Trex500 but this appears less complicated and I now have to re-think what I'm doing.

  • Hello Alishan! A friend of mine is going to Beijing this week and he'll bring a Lotus t580 for me. I intend to take aerial pictures/video, pretty much like you're doing on this vid. What do I need in order to do so? Please, tell me the names of the products you've used. Is there a more powerful quadcopter wich isn't much more expensive than th t580? Thank you!

  • @kakophoniaeuphonika T580 would do for now, its a good copter for AP. go with GoPro Camera

  • You are an awesome pilot man, I hope to get there someday....

    Best regards.

  • Basic model about USD/AUD 450 give or take - not including TX or extras

  • Hi, How much money did all on this heli cost? Thank you.

  • Please put a video about the s107

  • @alishanmao please do that!

I suspect it will hover untill the battery runs out of juice.

I'm anxious to see the review of the other testers of this awesome 4 legged bird.

  • @framelocator sure as soon as i get finished product, will do

  • Ali,

how about failsafe?how will it react incase of a lost rc link?

Will it detect the absence of rc input and just hover till it's battery goes south or what?

  • @framelocator I yet have to test that. :) I will see if i turn of my radio during flight, what will happen.

  • Don't put yourself down, your English is great. I actually thought it was your first language until I saw that text note in this video, and I've watched a bunch of your videos.

  • @Strikeslip Thanks mate

  • bonito cacharro amigo.

  • Looks and fly's really nice Ali, looking forward to viewing the other Video with the GoPro

  • @JollySwagman2006 already up

  • How much did you have to invest in the T580 w/o the cameras? Most high end quads I've seen are for the military and cops and are through the roof pricey.

  • @sparky0308 i am hoping this one is very affordable

  • Nice vid, Ali. I'm a little surprised that they didn't put guards around the props, though

  • @n1tmtu37 maybe did not need them :D

  • i think its just me, but it looked a little wobbly. and also, when are you going to make another car/truck/buggy video, its been a while.

  • @metroid1985 it was cam mount wobbling. car videos are up

  • @alishanmao ah, gotcha.

  • i wanna see you connect weights to it to see how much it can lift

  • @cole909cole i will connect it to my TT62 and see if it can lift it heheh nah, just kidding will see if it can lift those big 4S batteries that i use to fly Skywalker FPV

  • @alishanmao DO IT! make that thing work!

  • Ahh this may be a stupid question but were is the front

  • @MrJED698 stick with the yellow tube

  • @alishanmao You forgot to mention: these very distinct marking are on EVERY multi-copter. In this case the manufacturer supplied them, but other models have both X & +, so the end-user marks it.

  • ;)

  • Ali, any word on the Quadcopter models for Realflight? I did e-mail you.

You could just post the URL to my reply.

    BTW: Nice Save! lol!

  • @psygn0sis well i tested those quad models in my realflight and they suck hehehe, they did not fly well. so just use a helicopter to practice FPV its same

  • So did you get the idea to use this after I asked you about the AR Drone? lol. That T580 looks a bit more advanced then the AR. I think the AR would be fun using the new IPAD to control it though, it just needs more payload capacity the stablity is great.

  • @sparky0308 yup but still we like something that can carry payload. this one is doing great for now

  • Your English is very good Ali. How many languages do you speak.

  • @UtubeAdminSucksAss Thanks mate, I speak Urdu, English, Chinese a bit more now, a bit of Panjabi hehehe

  • NICE!! get a 360 on ur car....... u'll make the Matrix moves look easy;)

  • @shariqjaffrey thats what I am practicing now, will be great to have some Matrix moves around RedCats ;)

  • Hi Ali,great quadcopter mate! You can send one to me in Australia for some southern hemisphere testing. BTW your english is excellent.

  • @grahamlwilson why not get in touch with Lotus RC. you might get lucky to become a test pilot

  • @grahamlwilson Ur quals & U-tube track record seem far below that of the NZ tester. seems you keep away from Asia/ Asians. Are you are qualified enough?

    Australian Capital Territory retiree.

  • @grey0powerlessnesss I was stupid enough to watch Alishanmao and Bruce Simpson recommend the T580 quadkopter so I ordered one. This was a big mistake. I cannot get spare parts for the model from the manufacturer who sold it to me. On the third flight this thing did the FLIP OF DEATH at about 50 feet altitude and drove itself into the ground. No explained reason why. Just in a stable hover and then over it goes and crashed. Ignoring my control inputs. Dont buy a T580!

  • man this thing flies verry well

and it looks kinda funny in the air like a gaint spider thingy bug kinda animal

    lol

  • @boomerangfreak yup looks are very strange. could be scary for people around if they can't see who is flying it. I am afraid if I go a bit long range like 700 meters some people might call cops that there is a UFO flying around hehehe. I will do it next time. stand near stadium and fly it over nearby mazda showroom and see employees coming out heheheh

  • @alishanmao nice can't wait to see that vid

  • btw, ali... im going to get my first rc plane.. its the EZ hawk by Dynam, and has an 11.1v 1250mah battery. can you give me an estimation of how long the battery needs to be charged and if my choice is correct. thank you so much. you inspired me into getting my first rc car, helicopter and now the planes!!! keep on making videos!

  • @tiednotes45554 great plane for beginners, about 2 hours charging. you could order it now, the hawk sky is also for beginners, the Clouds fly is a plane for beginners who wants a little more speed and aerobatic's ;)

  • @steam4o

thank you so much for answering ym question. i research everything before i buy it. i look for reviews and what the pro's and con's are. and i think the only difference with ez hawk and hawk sky is that one has a rudder servo. i can just simply save £20 by adding my own servo so im going for the ez hawk. im also trying to learn to fly without any sim help that way its more fun hehe. thank you once again :)

  • @tiednotes45554 i'we seen that beginner's dont ewen use rudder ^^ so why buy a plane with a servo more that cost alot and you dont even need it? :) you can save alot of money if you will start without any sim, the simulators maybe cost alot but is worth it, because instead of crashing and repairing you will fly a realy long time without buying new parts!

  • @steam4o

thats my problem. you see im only 14 years old lol. since im thinking of becoming somewhat of an engineer or atleast an electrician i want to know more about electronics. and for me rc products are my way of elarning about electronics. i have a few servos lying around my room so i can easy add 1 for the rudder. and before any type of flying i usually reinforce the parts just in case

  • @tiednotes45554 Good luck! buy some small carbon rods to reinforce the plane ;)

  • @tiednotes45554 yup for beginners in the beginning they anyway never use rudder hehehe so save your money now. later you can add rudder when you are ready for it

  • @tiednotes45554 EZHawk is good plane to fly. If you use a pro charger it will take less than 30 mins to charge it.

  • yay! first view! nice vid alishanmao!
