I put in my external harddrive, and my computer doesn't even think it's there! I don't even see in it my computer's folder...

dude i tried other restoration programs, example i restore a jpeg picture, it doesn't work, it says that can't determine data type, when i restore a notepad txt document, it contains weird symbols, when i restore a movie or an audio, it doesn't work at all, how about this program?
