@TheComputerGraphics Actually this is a tutorial, just not in the "traditional" sense. The goal here is to show the "big picture" and how to use many elements together in order to create something. Sometimes you need to see a concept as a whole...it's called previsualization and this tutorial aims to show a quick set-up of elements working together. I'm sorry that it did not meet your expectations.

This is great, i have been burning my brain cells lately trying to figure out how to create a big-ish scene, one thing though.. I like using mental ray, i like how easy it is to create a sense of realism but it is time consuming when it comes to rendering. Which do you recommend the most? Which gives more "realistic" results?

How dare you call this a tutorial. A tutorial is supposed to explain how to create the environment, not why it looks nice and is good to make one. Wtf. There was very little instruction here. Didn't learn anything!

@thangQanime The reason you didn't learn anything is that you failed to see the big picture, this is about seeing all the elements in action, and not me hand holding you through creating stuff, I have plenty of those tutorials as well. So give up your arrogant attitude and sense of entitlement (remember I create these for free) and open your mind to the big picture and you will be a lot less frustrated.

You make my head hurt =/ I stopped the video at 2:45 ... O_o im a little to new to this program to know what your talking about.. ps. MAKE A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO MAKE A LANDSCAPE ! i would like that =)

@RIOTxPRODUCTIONs2010 hey ;).. it's quite easy just go to create in maya then take a plane then u set the divions to 50 or more and use the sculptool to build a landscape then u go to paint effects hold b to resize the brush and then paint some flowers and tree's on u'r plane and there u go ;)... it's quite easy to make something like that..
