  • woow.

  • My IQ goes down by 1 everytime I listen to this

  • so... now he's finished with the warmup

  • was it my imagination or did it sort of squeak on the last note?

  • @addict245 I think they're artificial harmonics but I could be wrong

  • Brillant performance!!!!!

  • Wrong entrance by a wind player at 2:16--but he caught on!

Dazzling as always. Right up Mr. Heifetz' sleeve.

  • um what could one say bad about this performance? i think its perfect

  • For once Mr Heifetz was slower than someone else - in this case, slower than Michael Rabin

  • @concertviolinist he was slower than Menuhin too at wieniawski's scherzo tarantelle..although he was a bit slower , heifetz makes different sound and i believe that's what makes him the best.

  • Certified Intergalactic! The finest Novacek Perpetuum Mobile! And to think it was performed in 1945.

  • but what makes the final? I do not know, technically it's perfect! Jascha bravo

  • perfeeect! fantastic technical

  • anyone know were i can get the sheet music for this? this is amazing!

  • go to everynote com

  • where can i find the orchestra parts?

  • Heifetz is simply the best technician to have ever lived.I mean the portamento, the spiccato and that fiery, vibrant vibrato make for an unbeatable combo!

    Outstanding performance!

  • @HeifetzRanew Rabin...

  • PS Mr Jim Hoyl - love the nickname!!!

  • Eeeek! Wonderful stuff. Only equal us maybe Milstein—but that could be the Strad / Guarneri argument again! Lovely to think that the two finest performances are both from Auer pupils...

  • Extraordinary playing!

  • great accents! perfect too!

  • Yes, it is perfect!. much more perfect than you!

    It's lucas by the way.

  • He plays it so fast! It's amazing. He's the best!

  • Phenominal! Man, it takes a giant set of stones to play this piece live with orchestra.

  • perfetc !!!!!

  • Totally amazing!

  • What a fabulous technique and a unique musical mind - thank God he loved to practice (and to play) as much as he did.

  • Our Jascha gives us the best !!!!!!!!

  • heifetz and his mania of putting the mic really really close. I'm sure this recording sounded much clearer than it seems.

  • hez so fucking fantastic

  • how do you hate this piece? It's a wonderful work, and I agree the Heifetz interprets it his own way. I especially love the way he ended it.

  • Wow

  • Great piece, anything for Granados or Albeniz...
