@JWFTW69 I understand what you're saying, but that's like saying that I, as a composer, have stolen from Haydn because we have both written pieces in the key of G major. Yes, this piece is similar to the style of many whitacre pieces and, yes, it is true that composers do often times take ideas from other composers. HOWEVER, if that didn't happen, then you would almost never hear beautiful music like this. I don't care what anybody says, Ticheli is brilliant, especially with this piece.

he's said so himself. there are plenty of ways to view that,

but one thing is for sure. music is NOT original anymore.

whatever we think of now in this contemporary era has been

martinsville high school went to gatlynburg national with this song. such beauty. it is such a constant reminder to me that no matter what happens, no matter how much you are hurting, no matter how much pain you see in the world around you, there is peace. Much like a single star may shine bright in the infinite voids of space. Though there is so much darkness, one can be led, and cannot help but notice that one shining star.
