Racially profiled? I surely hope not...but people can be so silly, right? My african friend did not wear braids for a long time because she was worried people might think she came "straight from the jungle". However, you can please everybody so it is best to please yourself :).

Wow thats amazing!!! I didn't know there were black Germans either. And what makes it so bad I used to live over there. I lived in Kaiserslautern Germany on Ramstein Air Force Base. But I very rarely went off base...sad ain't it. :-(

Ich finde es sieht exotisch aus bei Blonden. Ist doch sicher nur eine Sache der Gewohnheit. Cornrows sind ja nichts anderes als feine Bauernzöpfe. Die haben die blonden Mädels frühre ja auch getragen. Man hört ja auch nie das Locken nur gut bei dunkelhaarigen aussehen, oder glatte Haare passen nur zu Blonden. Danke für Deinen Kommentar :). Ist ok das es unterschiedliche Geschmäcker gibt, das macht das Leben ja so interessant...

Hi, i really want this kinda hair. But its to short rite now. I sometimes twist my hair into fine little coils but they wont stay like that. What can i do to keep my hair in these coils? (I have straight black hair. My hair is thin, but there is alot of it?

You need to add synthetic hair. Braid or twist it beyond your own hair and then seal it with heat (lighter, braid sealer)

Good quality Kanekalon hair is fine for those kind of styles.

Well, we "name" all our customer photos. Cornrows are CR- something ;). And yes, we are braiding cornrows every way you want them, we even design a new pattern if a customer wishes us to do so.

That is true for every hair style. Not every style suits everybody. I saw a black lady last weekend with a bad hairline and the cornrows she wore made it even worse. I find though that most kids looks very cute with rows :).

Yeah, it is a bit sad to perm a young child's hair. It makes them feel like their hair is not pretty. But I think lots of mother's just think it is less work that way.

With straight hair (there are white people with very curly and even kinky hair) you need more lenght. Ideal is 2 inches or longer. The ends tend to stick out more, and this is more obvious if the hair is very short. But if you add a bit of synthetic hair the rows will stay nice for about 1 to 1 1/2 months.
