  • Why is this game so underrated? it has awesome music, lots of hidden items, alternative routes, everything that made previous games great but in 16 bits. I've read some comments about the robot masters in this game were "too silly"... As if the other games didnt had silly robot masters.

Bigger, badder, better. MM7 was what every game that made the jump from 8-bits to 16-bits should've been.

  • Freeze Man!!!

  • @johnzkeePW no......

  • in MM Series, megaman 7 has the best music, it's the first megaman where i liked all of the music 100%, even the password entry music.

  • This theme embodies the image that MegaMan is steadily blasting his way closer and closer to the madman behind all the destruction, no matter how grievous his wounds are from all the castle's death traps. And not a soul in the audience can help themselves but to cheer him on.

You know why MegaMan always wins, right?

Dr. Wily fights out of hatred.

    MegaMan fights out of love.

  • AMO ESTA CANCIÓN!!!!

  • its sounds like a song

  • @SenorSockbat

Whenever I have more than one type of music I love to listen to, I always go "HEY, YOU KNOW THAT SONG FROM THIS OTHER GAME? I like that one too."

It's just music. I mean, maybe the guy's mind was in the wrong place, sure, we all know comment whores exist. But it is just music. I never understood the whole notion of "Like this song better than this other awesome song"

If it's awesome, it's awesome. Dr. Wily Stage 1 from Megaman 7 and Megaman 2 are both awesome.

  • @indigograves

In a sense, I always felt like that to be honest. At least the first level or two.

I never imagined Dr. Wily's main fortress would be so...poorly protected, so I assumed Megaman snuck in. Then 2,3, and 4 were the inner workings.

  • How can people say mega man 7 sucks. Guess some people just keep dying. So they get upset, and quit the game. It owns all those sorry PlayStation mega mans by far.

  • I dont care if I get thumbs down, I'm gonna say it. This is better than Megaman 2 Wily Stage 1.

  • @ultimaweapon764 I wouldn't go THAT far.. It's a wonderful song though. :)

  • @ultimaweapon764 AMEN TO THAT BROTHER!!!!!. This sounds to me like Mega Man was final tired of Dr. Wily's shit

  • @ultimaweapon764 Other megaman WS1s [such as this one] Deserve Moar Love!

  • grandes momentos de megaman años atras. genial

  • I can understand some folks not liking the graphic, the cheery music (with some exceptions, like this piece, which weren't cheery), but one criticism of this game which boggles my mind is when people claim that this game is easy. Granted, the pre-Wily levels weren't all that difficult, but they don't exactly roll over for you either. I thought the Wily levels were VERY difficult, especially the fight with Bass in the 2nd Wily stage. And of course the fight with Wily himself, which was insane.

  • Definitely one of the best video game tracks ever written

  • Makes me think of Mario Kart.

  • wee-ee-errrrr

  • If you look closely, you'll see that Megaman is ejaculating out of his X-buster

  • Henceforth, called the nutbuster

  • The best 16-Bit Mega man music yet.

  • @TylerTheHedgehogYT well it IS the only one!

  • Sounds a bit like guts man's stage (betting they did that on purpose. hense you fight gutsman g here)

  • @juan5557903 for me this is the best !!!

  • I listen to Megaman music while I work :)

  • @juan5557903 You made a typo. Mega Man 3 = best 8-bit.

  • Absolutely hate this game, but even a hater like me has to respect a great song like this one.

  • @bugexe I really don't see how anyone could flat out HATE this game. Pray tell, what is wrong with it to provoke hatred?

  • @MegaMacTV Well I don't like to rant on youtube, but here we go. Everybody looking really stupid as if the game was targeting small children. The characters and enemies are bloated and take up an enormous amount of screen. Speaking of bloated, the proportions are way off compared to the NES Mega Man or Mega Man X. I also couldn't help but feel like the game in some was was trying to rip off Mega Man X with the menu and sound effects. and its easy besides slash man and final wily. just not fun...

  • @bugexe The same could be said of all the Classic Mega Man games in terms of looks. They're not really bloated as the ratio of the screen compliments their sizes. The reason for the style change is because its on the SNES and to be very honest, this is the best MegaMan has looked. Hands down. You may say bloated, but I say fully proportional and true to the very art the sprites were derived from. The Mega Man games became easier starting with MegaMan 5, I think, so difficulty isnt an issue.

  • @MegaMacTV Continuation from the previous comment, Mega man is just plain slow. he walks, jumps, and moves slow. with slow movement comes the ability to not be able to jump very far anymore. the mega buster seems replaced with a pea shooter and is kinda pathetic. most of the robot masters don't really look like robot masters rather than big regular enemies. case and point would be cloud man.

  • @bugexe I also do not see how the game isn't just fun to play. The sound effects, the incredible music, the colorful, creative graphics and stages. I simply cannot fathom how anyone could say this is a bad game. Silly purists, I think. Reason why we got another 8-Bit rehash in MM10. In the amount of time this game was developed, the detail and control is just incredible. It's a diamond in the rough and I think it just deserves some respect and credit. Just my two cents, but it's not far off. =/

  • @MegaMacTV Honestly I only liked the Wily Stage music, the boss music, and Burst Man's theme. I wouldn't say I'm a purist because I don't really like 4, 5, or 6. Actually I didn't like 2 much either......hrm. One thing I don't get is people saying the fan made famicom version is SO much better. Same game essentially.

  • @bugexe I see what youre saying, I also think that it is the purists out there that think the famicom remake is better. There's just something about those people and 8-Bit MegaMan that's like the greatest thing. Like it's oxygen or something. Pretty sure they think the same for the famicom remake of MM8. I don't think Classic MegaMan will ever evolve past MegaMan 8 at this rate...*sigh*

  • OMFG I've listened to this song four times in a row. The begining is amazing, the whole song is amazing. Favorite Mega Man song.........

  • I think this is the best megaman song ever especially around 0:58 omg i like ejaculated..

  • @juan5557903 i like mega man 3 as best 8 bit

  • LOLLLLLZZZZZZ 1031 VIDEOS!!!!!

  • this theme has a darker tone than the previous wily themes..

  • @juan5557903 Music? NO way.

Megaman 2 had some great bosses but some of the worst songs. About 2 or 3 of the songs are memorable. Every song but 1 on Megaman 3 was memorable so 3 is the best in terms of music. But you're probably talking gameplay, in which you're probably right. 8 beats 7 though if that's 8 bit.

  • This is so underrated... I really want to hear a kickass remix of this song.

  • @juan5557903 megaman 7 was the only megaman 16-bit game and x games dont count as the original megaman series nor does megaman 8 b/c that was 32-bit

  • @mindmonkey00 there was mega man soccer, but that's a spin off...

  • sabian que esta music suena en el megaman x1 en el stage 2 de sigma

  • Sorry to rain on everybody's parade, but I did not enjoy MM2's Dr.Wily's theme as much as everyone else. I liked MM1's Dr. Wily Score and MM3's Dr. Wily's score a close second. But you cannot compare this score to the rest of the NES era MM's because it is 16-bit. That being said, I love this MM theme and think it the best of the 16 bit MM's .

  • @JPerez9011 i think the same way as you, MM2 wily stage is way too much overrated, even if i like it, it's not one of the best!

  • @JPerez9011 It's ok o.o you can have your opinion xD But I love every single theme of megaman xD

  • @juan5557903 I don't like this so much personally...

  • out of all the megaman games, this was my favorite for the music in this stage. i remember just pausing the game and sitting down jamming pretending to play the bass.

  • my childhood lives on...

  • Comment removed

  • @juan5557903 Megaman 2 is OVERRATED i think 3 had better music than 2

  • It feels like Deus Ex series.

  • Anyone else getting a bit of a MSH vs SF vibe off of this?

  • @CosmoBuggi hells yeah

  • I have always like Megaman 7

  • some one needs to arrange or remix this with awsomeness

  • @juan5557903 You mean Wily 1.

  • @juan5557903

Erm... Mega Man 7 is the ONLY 16-bit Mega Man game. Mega Man 8 was in 32-bit, and Mega Man & Bass doesn't really count as part of the numbered saga.

  • I agree with you all. This song its really great, really great.

  • this music in my opinion seems " determined "

  • Best Wily theme in the series

  • ULTIMATE. The perfect representation of off to destroy the villain and save the world. It feels even more epic when you've got the Super Adaptor.

  • @juan5557903My Opinion Megaman 5,9, and 10:Best 8-bits

    Megaman 7:Awsomest 16-bit

  • Mega Man 7 is so my best mega man listen to that music! :D

  • This is my second favorite Mega Man theme Currently the number one spot is a tie between Mega Man 2 Dr. Wily stage 1, because for the last 20 years of my life I've been hearing that theme, and Mega Man 10 Dr. Wily stage 1 that theme is just amazing!

  • @juan5557903 YEAH BABY. That Megaman 2 tune can just go BUUURN.

  • if i die without playing this game again. i dont know what im gonna do for the rest of my life

  • Meilleur musique d'un megaman, celle de Willy du 2 y compris. The must !

  • While MM7's is very far from being my favorite MM soundtrack, this song is SO damn amazing!!

The best song in the game, no doubt, and in Wily castle terms, second only to Mega Man 5's.

Inb4 thumbsdowns, it's just my opinion

  • @SpiralPegasus Hell no, I'm not going to thumbsdown this, it's pretty much exactly my sentiments. I think I might prefer this song to MM5's, but it wholly depends on my mood.

For some reason, it takes a long time of listening to get this song stuck in my head, but even when it's not stuck in my head and I have no memory of what it actually sounds like, I still get a huge craving to listen to it. This is just so great.

  • WIN

  • Am I the only one who thinks the beginning sounds like Super Mario World?

  • @Chowdah150 No, no you're not.

  • this brings back alot of memories...

  • Why the hell does this sound so weird? Is it in Mono, instead of Stereo? It sounds like the theme, but it's just slightly off.

  • love this theme. very nice.

  • The only sure-fire way to beat Wily's final form, is with Freeze Man's Weapon.

You can aim it diagonally with the D-Pad to hit Wily when he appears, just as he's firing those Seeking Orbs at you.

It's still a close-call at times, but if you train yourself not to get hit at all during his initial phases, you are alright.

At least, this is what worked for me.

All that aside, what really stopped my progress cold was Turbo Man's Stage. God the hours I practiced to clear it.

  • This is an awesome track. While most of this game's soundtrack was in tradition of the NES Megaman style, this track was more close to the X series, and it just works. The main melody sounds like it was meant to be played on guitar! XD

Also, I still can't beat the last boss. I can't seem to dodge his attacks (flame one is worst). Hardest last boss since MM5 (not even MM9's final boss was this hard).

  • lol What? You think MM5 was hard? I definitely agree with you about MM7's last boss being very hard and though I have not spent nearly as much time playing MM7 as MM5 or perhaps a few others, I think MM5 is easy, and not significantly harder than MM4 or MM6 for example. Then again, I have played MM5 more than almost everyone else. MM7 Wily I can't beat without energy tanks although I have not really made it my mission to learn.

  • No, I meant MM5's last boss was hard. The entire game itself wasn't much harder from MM4, but I dunno I had a hard time beating the last boss (and realised after beating him I could have used Beat the Bird =S lol).

Yeah I still can't learn the patterns in MM7. Somehow I always get hit, and only avoid like 5% of his attacks. It's hard.

  • @Andres33AU MM5 was easier, just let beat lend you a hand.... or should I say "a wing"?

  • @Andres33AU

I know this one is quite late... but, it's actually if wily didn't fire from the lower left corner, jump inside the square the elemental orb forms, it's easier to evade from that position.

  • @johnzkeePW Thanks man, but I clocked this game a while back now, lol. Though I did find there was a way to jump either over or through the elementals, combined with the right weapon and enough E tanks, I managed to finally beat him. :)

  • Always loved this tune. Seems like the long lost brother to Sigma stage 1 in Mega Man X to me. I never got the hate people had for this game though. Hard? Not even, the old school Mega Man games brought me to my knees in tears as a child. This is a cakewalk in comparison.

  • The last battle Wily Battle sure wasn't a cakewalk. It was the hardest in MegaMan history.

  • wow...

  • Gotta love how it sounds like something that should be in Mega Man X! It does, doesn't it?

  • idk why ppl get that this megaman is hard what are they actualy complaning that megaman 7 is slow or what 8 megaman is slow this one in other fact is a big ass update form the 8 bit ones i mean the music even if it is 16 bit is awsome is like saying the final battle with wily and it suit it in the endind credist megaman walking away form the castle. and the battle theme for the boss where awsome to especialy wen they present for the frist time megaman rival bass witch is battle was so kick ass

  • It sounds like Megaman is inflitrating the castle instead of blasting through.

  • he was.

  • Why did Megaman 7 get so much hate? This game kicks ass! And so does this theme!

  • because some of the levels were insanely fucking hard. turbo man comes to mind....

  • I didn't find Turbo Man's level to be all that hard. I actually loved how they replicated Quick Man's level from Megaman 2.

  • @TheGuyNamedHenryG

I thought it was megaman x7 that got much hate, since it had actual 3D action, which wasn't what i would call "good".

  • @TheGuyNamedHenryG Most people don't know how to comprehend such greatness as MM7.

  • @TheGuyNamedHenryG YEAH! I wish they made more games with all the sprites from MM7. Or at least a good ROMhack. =|

  • @TheGuyNamedHenryG I don't know why, I loved it. Bass was an awesome addition to the series, all of the bosses and levels were top-notch, I love the art style, and the music is phenomenal.

  • everyone says that 7 was worse because of "dinosaur balls" or something like that(i dont understand this joke either) but this is my favorite part of the megaman series the 16-bit music is just awesome

  • Brentalfloss made that joke probably where they got it from

  • Capcom let loose on this music 4 real doe.

  • This music is pure darkness XD

  • this song is killer

  • 32 Bit...not 16 Bit.

  • I ment 16 bit..sorry.

  • this game was fun, but why do many people hated it? It's the only one that used the 16bit sprites. They really should reuse the 16bit mega man for mega man 10

  • nah

they are just a bunch of idiots just like the ones that hates the games with "Crappy" graphics

    Seriously!!! wTF about the graphics

a game with "Crappy" graphics can be very good

    just like Earthbound

it was a very good game but people didn't like it

    why?

    due his graphics

    Aw man they suck.

  • i actually thought this game was good, but many people can't accept changes i guess. this was actualy my favorite game amazingly. Really haters just suck. :(

  • Yeah I know that. I liked this game to tell you the truth.

  • I agree with u bro.

Same thing with Okami. I recommended that game to alot of people, but they turned it down cuz the graphics "looked cartoony"?? I kno it wasnt 8 or 16 bit, but the game used watercolors for graphics and alot of people judged it because of that.

Much to their surprise, that game ended up being Game of the Month. In my opinion, if u play a game ONLY because of graphics, then u are NOT a true gamer.

  • i was about to punch some friends when they told me to stop playing Earthbound because it looks GAY

    -.-

  • That last paragraph there, that is the most truthful thing I've ever heard any gamer say. While Mega man 7 isn't my favorite, I consider it better than some of the NES ones. Which would you rather play: a game with fun gameplay, but horrible graphics, or a game with horrible gameplay, but good graphics.

  • @NozziesNephew you are so right.

  • Comment removed

  • @NozziesNephew but mega man 7 was underrated since 16 bits generation. I think the reason was Mega Man X series.

by the way, I enjoyed a lot mega man 7 on my snes. this is my favourite wily stage ost even better than mega man 2 dr wily stage.

  • @jeabl Yeah i think a lot of people tend to compare this game to Mega Man X.

  • This really sounds like Mega Man has faced multitude of challenges to bring Wily to justice, and it's nearing the end.

  • This music always made me sad for some reason. It's not an exciting one like the Mega Man 2 Wily stage. It's like Mega Man's trying to get out of the cold and inside Wily's warmer castle.

  • Eh, I say this one ties the Wily stage music from Megaman 2. It's too hard for me to decide between the two.

Not tryin' to start an arguement, just sayin.

  • this is sooo epicc

  • oh man thank you !!! I LOVE this song !!!!

  • this is great but for 16bit, i think megaman 2 has the best 8bit music.

  • One of my favorites

  • I love this music! Epic + mysterious

  • this music is like epic and such considering it was imo the last good megaman game until 9 yea i didnt like 8 or mm and bass very much but 7 happens to be in my top 5 favourites.everyone bad mouths this game too i hate it.just cause its not 8 bit anyone who agrees with the fact megaman is as good as 16 bit than he is 8 bit gimmie a hell yeah

  • Amazing stage music of MEGA MAN 7

  • glorious.

  • after megaman x this one have awsome bgm so epic so great just listen and enjoy :)

  • The best song in all of the Mega Man games by far. Love this song <3

  • This song reminds me of Mega Man X.

  • I will do a cover of this song!

I remember my first game was Mm IV (I love cossack-3 and willy- 2) then Mm7was mi second game ^^ good years^^

  • I like this track also.. the only track that i love... sometimes I still remember, that I wish every track in Megaman 7 use this tones... hahahha

  • personally the best song of the game

  • What the hell are you talking about, TrobinT? This is Mega Man 7.

  • dude i know its mm7 i put x because i made a mistake

  • It gives the feel of "OK, it's time to do this." It gives the serious manner of MegaMan's bravery and cunning that he's ready to defeat Wily once more.

  • I couldn't have said it better bro

  • The best megaman theme !

  • I never really understood the massive hate this game gets.

  • I <3 Megaman 7. Best Megaman game ever for me. It just refined what was made perfect by the NES. The only downsides were the 4 boss, then 4 boss system, and the large sprites made dodging harder.

  • I think it was also spring man worst boss idea ever!

  • I dunno, Clown Man's pretty scary.

  • amazing song... crazy how good da japanese were at 8 bit and so forth music...

  • Wow this sounds so clear, I've been playing this since I was 7, and I've never heard it like this.

  • Best Wily theme ever

  • this song is very nice!!

    I only have one question....

What happen to Bass in megaman 9??

Bass is awesome since he apears in megaman 7, 8 and in M & B games :( im sad

still the megaman songs are very nice

  • My god, yes. I just go to this stage today, and this song made it all so worth it. I think it's my fav song in the whole entire anniversary collection.

MM7 felt like such and epic continuation of the NES Megamans. They made it special.

  • vry nice music

  • snes capcom > ps "capcom"

    early generation vs late degeneration

no comparison sinse x4 to x9 ....at least thaths my taste

  • As much as I love this song along with Shademan's and Frostman's, I think a lot of people don't give the opening stage song enough credit. I think the opening stage song is one of the best mm7 songs as it fits perfectly for the "call to action" that was the opening stage. All in all, awesome game, awesome music.

  • for me it is not depressive, it talk that mega man is in a difficult moment and all the actions can change the world it is adventurous. very good 5 stars

  • like some others say around youtube this song is about megamans sadness of being betrayed by bass and megaman is serious to destroy wily once and for all, or he is frustrated how he has to kill so many other robots they are like family to him and he does it because it is his duty.

  • Who the hell you talking to?

  • Dr. Wily got good taste in music.:)

  • they say that MM2 has the best wily music. appearently they've never heard this song.

  • man , i remember getting at Dr. Wily Stage 1

    and hearing this song.

i just had too pause and listen to it all day .

  • I agree that MegaMan 6 was pretty underated, but the Wily theme wasn't that great.

  • I am a hardcore MM6 fan. I love that game above anything that has the word "MegaMan" printed over.

Even so, Wily theme from MM6 is definitely fantastic but, even not liking MM7 at all, I must say that this track is better than the MM6 one (Doesn't beat Mr X's, though).

  • The best song on the game! No other comes even close :D

  • I agree. While I loved most of the music, especially the intro stage and Bass's theme, this song is by far the best one in the game.

  • totally agree!

  • MM9 Maybe .

    ^_^

  • when i first played this level i sat and listened to this over and over and didnt even play

  • It's the bass and guitar combo in this song that's so freaking awesome.

  • This is so epic. It sounds just like the first level in the X series. It's just really bad ass and gives you that feeling of "Here we go, the final push".

There's sounds of despair in the intro of the song but then this push on and fight feeling comes in and climaxes...such an awesome song.

Very dark intro to a Wily Castle. I think is the darkest Mega Man in the series. It really shows in the finale to the game how dark they made this one.

  • he greatest freaking song

  • the first part almost sound like a ghost house in Super Mario World
