Weird Al stated that he doesnt need the artist's permission to make a parody of their songs (but still does because he prefers to anyway). Wouldn't that similarly apply here?

I only knew about CNN because my viewer comments pointed it out after the 10pm airing...so I caught the 1am. :-)
