I think this music is just amazing, I really loooove your voice. But the lyrics.. it's cute and eveything, but it's not profound. I mean it's pretty naive, if you work more on your lyrics you could be such a fucking great singer. That being said, I believe you are capable of doing something with it - finding various tones to work with and branching out to [or become inspired by] other music. Portishead, Cranes, CoCo Rosie, Bjork, PJ Harvey, Tori Amos, etc. all have unique voices, unique sounds, with something profound to say. There isn't anything profound about this song.

@harveypotato nothing profound about this song? i wrote it about the ephemeral nature of love and all else which brings happiness. to me, impermanence is one of the greatest tragedies of life. wb yeats wrote a poem called "ëphemera" about the same subject, and i have an excerpt from a pablo neruda poem tattooed on my arm, which reads, "in the distance someone sings", which is also a comment on the transient nature of everything in our lives; namely, he was speaking of love.
