The Jerry Springer show does have the necessarily back up, amateur actors and similar people who can do a show in a short time, without too much preparation. They use those actors/people, when guests in a show suddenly call the show and say they cant be in the show because of sickness, or simply because a part in the show suddenly dont want to do it. The show is normally prepared 14 days to a month before they are aired. I dont think the show is on direct but made 1-3 days before.

Now when i have seen this show second time im beforehand a little wiser. The team behind Jerry Springer show do most times tell the guests to put some actions on, when they are on stage, simply because they dont want a show where nothing is going to happen, so-called death moments. The show needs to have some continuity. So what goes for the action in the fight part, is the show staged, but the issue the guests are fighting about is real.
