If the numerator is also a radical, do you do the same thing? Or can you just divide it right away? For example, if it's the square root of 10 over the square root of 2, could you just simplify it to the square root of 5?

@aqrocks360 well, do it out the long way, and if it is the same answer, then maybe. try it with a few other problems, and if still works out, then yes.

Well, either way you got the stupid square root in there so you don't really know how big the number is even after you "divide" it in this manner.  Just use a calculator I'd say.
