  • RIP Rick and Syd, damn this is a great tribute

  • Fucking brilliant!!!

  • of course you know David Gilmore wasn't playing with Floyd at that time. Only Rick Wright is an original Floyd member there.

Great act to watch though. David Bowie looks and sounds great as always.

  • Absolutely AMAZING! :) Thanks to whomever uploaded this video. Two on my biggest musical influences growing up! :)

  • The musics fine but David Bowie can't sing that song for crap!

  • 2:01 they sound awesome together, also R.I.P Richard you are missed very much.

  • Arnold Lane don't do it again!!!

  • Amazing, amazing just amazing...

  • Great song!

  • What a great tribute to Syd Barrett !! RW, DG and DB together with their talents.

  • Shine on you crazy Syd!!!!

  • Richard I hope you and my mother are looking down at me from up there through the moon, making my day better and all the afternoons, to come and to pass, to live and not too fast. Rest in peace and may you be where you should, a pleasant place in your own time and space.

  • Its the first time i've been able to watch this since Ricks passing and it did bring a tear when he does that beautiful keyboard solo.

    Love ya man RIP

  • You've gotta love this. Most PF fans from the Waters era probably don't even know the stuff from the Barrett years. It's apples and oranges really, so there's no comparing the two. For my money though, the Barrett repertoire is so much more delicious and fantastic. Whereas the Waters stuff was very marketable. Syd's songs were creative in the sense that they took you straight out of this world...like Interstellar Overdrive and Astronomy Domine for examples.

  • thank you mr. Wright

  • Beautiful! RIP Mr. Richard Wright.

  • david playing the role of syd.... good job!

    rip rick

  • There i lost my chance to see pink floyd, i will miss you richard ;'(.

  • wright actually played that song with syd. bowie should've given him some props for that.

  • you are right, even at the end D Bowie didn't ackowedged Richard Wright at all!

  • World will never be the same without Pink Floyd.

  • Rick's performance on this DVD shows why he was a great keyboard player and musician. RIP Rick. What a sad day!

  • such an amazing and influential musician

    RIP

  • descanza en paz Richard Wright, yo lo vi en vivo en mexico el 10 de abril, de1994 un memorable concierto que definio mi vida..gracias por todo

  • R I P richard

  • Richard , we'll always remember you ! RIP

  • great keyboard solo! r.i.p rick wright

  • in memory of rick wright

  • Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music on guitar, no? I agree, this is a treat. Bowie is well suited to the Syd stuff. And I think Gilmour looks great. I get tired of hearing how old they all look. Gilmour's over 60, FCS. (and no, I'm not an old hippy)

  • I watched this last night with my parents.

    :)

  • they cant have played this song for a good 40 odd years its cool to see them play the classics again

  • That's Syd's song...

  • He couldn't even think of anything more than a song for" WHEN THE WIND BLOWS" soundtrack, so they brought in Roger waters to finish it, lmfao!

    Bowie the genius eh?

    plonker more like ;)

  • That's way cool !

Bowie certainly aging more brilliantly than Gilmour...

    Cool Brit accents 2!

  • yeah an how many visit's to the cosmetic surgeon has bowie had!! :)

  • None as far as I know, but he did use Botox in the 90's/00's, and wears a hairpiece. Greatest singer songwriter though (To my mind anyway).

  • Also, there is a lot of stuff bowie has tried to take credit for, that wasn't really done by him ;)

  • Such as? (Interested not being argumentative lol). He does now just claim to be a singer songwriter, but he does come up with the very basic arrangements to start with - it helps he surrounds himself with some of the best musicians on the planet, but it's the words that count to me. Great songsmith, may be a bit of a cunt, but who isn't?

  • China girl, was done by another bloke that allowed bowie to take the credit, there was a documentary on the tv about it, not saying he isn't good, lol

av got a few of his albums

  • ROFL.

China Girl was co written by both David Bowie & Iggy Pop for Iggys 'The Idiot' album. It's known that he did it again on 'Lets Dance' as Iggy was flat broke at the time; the royalties helping to improve his then situation. Both DB & Jim (James Osterberg - Iggy's real name) have been the best of friends since the early 70's. Check Wiki :))

  • av just been told that's thew wrong song, let's dance was the one a was referring to

but look at most of his albums, most of the songs have been written by other peeps, SO BIG ROFL!!!!!

  • hohooooo! Didn't realize that! Tell ya, there ain't nobody like my palsThe Grateful Dead, these people wouldn't go for that for the world!!! Whatcha see is what you get there!

    The Dreaming Is Real Channel

  • It sound like it was song made for bowie.

they should do a tour under the name Pink Bowie

  • One more thing....Rick Wrights keyboards at 2.08 on this are sublime!

  • OMGGGG I'm a huge Pink Floyd and Bowie fan...never knew about this collaboration. What a great job Bowie does...this is amazing...i'm fillin up lol!

  • syd barret rules!!!

  • simplement grand...géant, merci !

  • I'm sorry guys but a was at the concert in glasgow on the 27th of may, then followed down for the concert at the rah on the 30th, and rah was shite!!

    the accoustics were bloody awful.

And before I start getting hate mail, I'm a sound engineer.

So a know what am talkin about ;)

  • haha is that david icke on keyboards j/k :p

  • its richard wright on the boards

  • No problem guys. If you guys are really interested with Floyd videos and stuff just join the forum and www.neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk, that's where I get the stuff from. And plus it's the best Floyd forum on the net.

  • Magic! Don't know where people come up with this stuff. Thank you for putting it out in space though. Its amazing to hear Richard Wright hitting all of those notes. And Gilmour nailing that guitar tone. And Bowie(pinups) as Barret! Making my morning! Thankyou!

  • When was this?

  • I was there! nuff said!

  • I bow down to you! I would pay THOUSANDS of dollars to see that. My two favorite artist of all time. Pink Floyd and David Bowie. Now if only the two of them would do something with Enya. That might just creat a preformance to great for the human maind to comprehend.

  • This was SO f*cking fantastic! I think arnold layne was the first floyd song ever released. GREAT!!!

  • Great! thanks for the video
