You are right bout PETA but so wrong bout humane society. PETA kills over 10,000 animals every year. As humane eiuthinizes 1,000 year. Sorry bout don't descriminate jays cause they do a far better job and live up to what they believe in. As of PETA. They are a bunch of sinner and communests
Brilliant video, I can't tell you how refreshing it is to have someone talking reasonably and referencing research, not espousing rhetoric. I have been highly suspicious of PeTA since I heard of connections between them and the Animal Liberation Front (ALF), before I never took notice of PeTA but the ALF are terrorists by any definition.
You're handling the comments in the same reasonable way, I rarely comment for want of being drawn into childish nonsensical arguments, had to this once though.
thanks for the video...i have been sharing it with friends, family, the media, and reptile forums.....thank you so much for explaining this the way you did i could never show someone whats going on the way you did in this video thanks again
Thank you for doing this video! I posted it to both FB and Twitter. I've never liked either of them. Some years ago I went with my friend to adopt a cat and she was denied for no reason. The woman told us 50% are automatically turned down. If they let the animals go to good homes they won't have any excuse for our money!
if you read on in the peta quote it stays about taking them off people who abuse them, and how some animals; though people think they are doing good. live a miserable life.
I was just watching this again & considering what has taken place over the past 6 months or so, you could make a series of 10 of these and still barely scratch the surface. The victories HSUS has enjoyed at the state legislative and federal regulatory level against agriculture are scary as heck. Great job with this JB! I wish people would open their eyes!!
I heard a rumor recently that there is an individual who is a relatively high-ranking member of PETA who is an insulin-dependent diabetic (we get insulin from animals). I need to research this further, but I will definitely let you know what I find!
PETA Senior Vice President MaryBeth Sweetland on her use of insulin, which was tested on animals:
"I'm an insulin-dependent diabetic. Twice a day I take synthetically manufactured insulin that still contains some animal products -- and I have no qualms about it ... I'm not going to take the chance of killing myself by not taking insulin. I don't see myself as a hypocrite. I need my life to fight for the rights of animals."
It doesn't make the person a hypocrite to use insulin to control diabetes.
Obtaining the information for it was cruel but using it doesn't make you a hypocrite.
The same example.
Does it make the person a hypocrite if he use the treatment for hypothermia when the information came from cruel HUMAN experiments the Nazis did to jews by putting innocent Jew in cold icy water tank for many hours?
@zaxtor - Ingrid Newkirk, the president of PeTA is quoted as saying: "“Even if animal tests produced a cure for AIDS, we'd be against it."
So, the president of the organization is against animal derived cures and treatments for human diseases - yet Mary Beth Sweetland is allowed to remain a PeTA employee despite the fact that she uses an animal derived treatment for her disease. It's really as simple as that, and this: they're hypocrites.
Yeah, occasionally the HSUS will rescue some animals, then they dump the animals on the local humane societies (which are unrelated to the HSUS) and don't offer any assistance to care for them. HSUS is just as evil as PeTA.
The HSUS raised over 30 million dollars to help rescue animals after the storm. They donated approximately 7 million dollars to help animals and pocketed the rest. They also went into New Orleans and rescued animals and then left them with local shelters and other rescue organizations and never provided continuous direct care for any animal. Those are facts.
@DeviantConstrictors honestly do you know how far 7 million dollars would go? they didnt have to give anything but they did, it really hurts me personally when people attack hsus without hsus all 3 of my dogs would still be breeding livestock in puppymills
They raised 30 million dollars to help animals affected by Katrina, and they kept 73% of it for themselves and only redistributed 27% of it (7 million) to actually help the animals. You're ok with that? Please say you're not... As for your other comment, no, I wasn't there. But the news media was as well as animal welfare groups and many of them commented on how inefficient and ineffective The HSUS was. Look it up for yourself.
@DeviantConstrictors NEWS PEOPLE LIE, ITS HOW THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY. NO IM NOT OK THAT THEY KEPT IT FOR THEMSELVES BUT I MEAN CMON ITS NOT LIKE THEY USED IT AND ALL GOT RAISES AND YACHTS LIKE HOW DO YOU KNOW THEY DIDNT USE IT TOWARDS MORE RESCUES, DO YOU THINK ITS CHEAP TO TRAVEL ACROSS STATES TO RESCUE ANIMALS THEY HAVE ON SITE VET WITH MEDICINES AND SHIT THAT STFFS NOT CHEAP OR FREE I THINK ALL FACTS SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION BEFORE BEIGN JUDGED
I'd like to say that I would encourage you to do some more research about the HSUS, but you'll obviously turn a blind eye to all of the negative things they do. Yes, they do accomplish SOME good things, but overall, they're a horrible organization that seeks to end ALL HUMAN INTERACTION WITH ANIMALS! If it were up to them, no breedings of any animals would ever take place. No meat, fur, zoos, etc.. I'm finished going back and forth with you as your emotions have superceded your logic.
PETA SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS but HSUS is amazing I dont know why people always hate on the HSUS
They rescue a lot of puppy mill dogs I adopted a puppy mill rescue from HSUS. Yeah they support 5 organizations, at least they do that considering peta doesntand peta euthanizes animals
Don't forget their monumental efforts against livestock keeping... but PLEASE don't replace this video any time soon! You've done a great job with this JB! :)

Here's the quote and source:

@DeviantConstrictors
Obtaining the information for it was cruel and barbaric.
Good thing is we don't have to do it again... EVER.
And again!!
So it doesn't make the person a hypocrite.

are these proven facts

Yes. For instance, Hurricane Katrina.
