I love loud pipes because they SOUND and LOOK cool. To suggest they "save lives" is absurd. Loud pipes on a MOTORCYCLE? Now, THAT saves lives! You don't always SEE a bike, so, the pipes let you know it's there. On a BIG truck? That's ridiculous. If you can't see a big truck coming, the sound won't matter at all. I'm all for big & loud pipes on a truck. I'm just honest about why I like them.

Loud pipes might get some pedestrians looking around... SOME.. like kids looking for a big truck.. but no... if loud pipes saved lives, you'd be looking at insurance discounts. They're just loud and add extra noise and air pollution.

Trucks, ya can sometimes hear.. motorcycles.. you can only hear once they're past you so they're just stupid.
