not trashtalkin here!! But how many 18 yr old true freshmeat throw 200+ w/no INT. yes i know he had some at the end of the season, but dude he played against top teams and lost close games!!!!! Come on,his passing was awsome, He had some passes that had to be on the money. He's not a 25 to 28 yr old 5th yr senior who played baseball. i think its bad to rate him against players w/3 years in ncaa. And i think your right about his popularity in the coming years.
I played at Abilene High and we scrimmaged Copperas Cove and Griffin for two years. He beat us in our house during the controlled quarter in 06, but we contained him in 07 (he was running for his life some of the plays, seemed Cove's OL couldn't stop our pass rush).
Still, that kid is dangerous. Very, VERY dangerous if he gets in space.

Griffin is CLEARLY not just a running QB. He only through one pick all year when you take out the two that went off his receivers hands first. Also, he set the freshman record and was 6 attempts away from the NCAA record for most consecutive passes without an INT. AND HE WAS AN 18 YEAR OLD FRESHMAN!!!!!!!!
Griffin is one of the best 400 meter hurdlers in the nation already and is the favorite to win the big 12 championship in the event this year at a school known world wide for putting out some of the best 400 meter sprinters and 400 meter hurdlers in the world.
I'm fully aware of that. And I'm sure that he's run short distances in track and his technique will give him an edge in the 40 over White.
But regardless, 40 yard dash speed means nothing, considering White is not an NFL QB while Griffin does the ability to be one, plus Griffin has better game speed than White does
White is not an NFL QB, well we can't say that yet can we. I'm not too sure on game speed, but I would say Griffin does have a faster game speed. However I would say that pat has a better game breaking ability.
but 10x the passer do this kid can play qb not just run the zone option if given time he could be come a full passer from the pocket and out of it as well

Coming from a huge Nebraska fan, he is very, very good. I hope our coaches put as good as game plan in as we did with Texas Tech, or it will go down to the wire with this kid. Our D has steadily improved over the past few weeks, and we are completely healthly now.

Griffin is one fast QB. I'm not looking forward to going to Baylor this coming season, although UConn contained him pretty well in 2008.
