  • Brian's guitar makes the entire song. Bill Wyman in his book said that Brian came up with that hook all by himself. That certainly should have merited a song writing credit. Without Brian's guitar it certainly would not have been a hit. Keith just strums E A D. Three stinking chords. Their first real hit and they can thank Brian Jones for it.

  • stones rocked

  • Pity the video is totally distorted.

  • on me dit qu'elle m'attend ! depuis trop looongtemps...

  • Stands up pretty damn well.

  • Keith playing Brian's Firebird VII. And what the heck do you mean out of sync!!!!!!

  • I saw em the summer of 66 in buffalo and BOTH keith and Brian had Firebird VI's!

  • No way jose. cool!

  • Brian Jones was murdered

  • the stones in their early days--totally out of sync, playing and singing terribly bad-but that's what i love about them. that's why the stones were great, because they conveyed the idea of rough rock. comparing them to the beatles is like comparing Kandinsky to Tiepolo. if the stones played and sang like the beatles it would be a disaster and vice versa.

  • Brian. Always played the cool, unique riff on the early Stones and they never matched it without him. The Stones were great.

  • That's posthumous propaganda, as are most of the posts deifying Jones. Did he play the "Satisfacton" riff? No! He was a semi-comatose addict for the last 3 years of his life, beat up his women, stole $ from the others in the early days, and was, by all accounts, except for his "cool look", a right proper bastard.

  • A "right proper" bastard? You are a right proper Brit to speak in such vernacular. I like they way they speak, as in the House of Commons. Each speaker refers to the one before him as the "right honorable gentleman" even if he's about to slander him. What you say about the right honorable Mr Jones is probably true, but it's true, as well, that his musical skill pretty much launched the Stones in the early days. Credit where it is due (if no where else).

Cheerio! Got to be off to my tea!

  • Haha, doesn't he almost always look like that? ;)

  • Notice at 0:03,Bill Wyman looks bored lol.

  • I do know....Stones are Go

  • BRIAN

  • Mick and the boys at their cool best. Too short though. Wish they played that extended guitar lick that really makes the song.

  • One of the greatest songs ever, and we only get a minute of it? Geezus!!!

  • Awesome shot of Brian, looking happy for a change!
