@paulineprojectlove Because Blizzard thinks they're being consise by trying to not overdo the modern technology and entertainment within WoW, but they already butchered WoW's time period so much with the whole Gnomish/Goblin engineering and whatnot that it doesn't matter what they do, WoW won't be the whole medieval theme Stormwind sets it up as. They need to focus on making nice hubs for players, like clubs, or diners, places where we can hang out after a raid and chill.
