  • its sad when people try to be funny at other people's expense.

  • felt it in MD? I felt it all the way up in NH!

  • What did you do to promote your video to get so many views ??? Please respond. Mgeiger5@yahoo.com

  • @mgeiger5 The fact that he was one of the first people on YouTube to post a video of the earthquake. When I felt it, I literally looked on the internet the second it happened to see what had happened, and this is what I came to 6 days ago. I don't think this person really promoted his video in any other way.

  • @CommandoNikomer Actually for 34 easy installments of $28.50 (less than a cup of Starbucks a day) I will share with you my proven method for generating hits for your videos.

    Hint: Be First, Be Relevant

    :)

  • @pitpawten Very convincing indeed. I may have to take you up on that offer :P

  • you gotta remember building codes is different so buildings will say more on east coast then west

  • See...contrary to popular belief, everyone on the east coast did not panic when this earthquake struck.

  • its nice to see them save themselves.

  • It's starting to come out, it was FAKE. I thought it was kinda strange when they talked about the depth of the quake...not deep into the earth at all, plus no warning. Isn't thats what all that equipments for???

Well the EU Times is reporting the military blew up a nuclear tunnel underground. Now THAT makes more sense.

Story title: Russia Reports Nuclear Explosions Hit Vast US Military Tunnel Network

I think we better get our news from somewhere else, bcuz our news is nothing but PAID LIES.

  • ur kidding me right im sitting right smack dab in the middle of new joisy and every one around me feels the quake, me not one fuckin thing.... i told this to my japanese who was mad at me cause i was complaining about not being in an earthquake lulz

  • i felt this all the way from Toronto Ontario

  • try being in va beach like me and having your whole house shaking like a house of cards. scariest thing thats ever surprised me.

  • @AlyssaRoxsU You guys getting slammed by Irene yet? Got a buddy in VB who says every shelf in every store is barren.

  • @AlyssaRoxsU Yeah during earthquakes usually it is the whole house shaking, not like half of it. I would know, I live in CA...

  • AL-QAEDA is proud to take total responsibility for this incident [An Official Al-Qaeda Spokesman]

  • by golly "thats crazzzyyy"..stfu lol this guys a tool...watch the news in ur office maybe u will stop saying "thats craayyyyz"

  • virginia earthquake felt in TORONTO moron...just like that...my bed was rocking just like that

  • harpppp aora les toca alos gringos sufrir el harpp de parte de rusia,,, asiq ojo gringos.... q se les vine competencia en desastres naturales.....

  • 2012 is coming, believe it people, we must do something now. And they must stop using the HAARP, that would explane earthquakes that spread so far.

  • Blowing stuff up in Gta and thought the volume made the ground shake, push start and had a panic moment. NC

  • Tweets move faster than the vibrations of the Earth...

  • Nice chair

  • 5.3!? Really that's nothing

  • guys don't diss them, they are east coasters who don't experience quakes that often. so what if they over reacted, i bet if you take some one from cali and put them in near a tornado they will be scared and freak out. or if you take someone from from the south and put them up north during a blizzard they will freak out.

  • @ExtreamThrills Now we get to look forward to Hurricane Irene coming up the coast, so this week is our breaking in period for Natural Disasters!

  • Comment removed

  • @ExtreamThrills Actually as a Californian, I have experienced several water spouts and had several tornado warnings...so go f**k yourself :P

  • @ExtreamThrills While I do agree about the tornado part, a blizzard is not the same. Tornadoes kill so many people, and there are no preventative or helpful measures (short of a hole in the ground).

Blizzards only hurt the South because we don't dump money into salt trucks and plows. Put a northerner in a tornado in the South, they couldn't handle it. Put a Southerner in a blizzard up north and the snow is cleared away...

  • hahahhahahaha one day earth will open up and swallow all mudshirimooon and just hope ur not among them cause even if ur not ur gonna be summoned to explain every detail in ur life even a yes we can vot 4 obama hahahahah and saying that im an idiot or something like that wont make it not happen

  • "Mark if you feel it in Texas, we got problems"

LMAO Americans always fucking freaking out over dumb shit. I am American by the way. There's nothing wrong with admitting that when something minor happens to this country, as a whole we act like fucking dumbasses.

  • @cali22089 Got to admit that when I heard it was being felt simultaneously from the Carolinas to Pittsburgh, it changed a big from just "wow an earthquake" to "wow an earthquake!". From what I know, quakes arent typically felt that far-spread, so it definitely made me wonder. If it was east-coast all the way out to Texas that's something I don't think happens often :)

Read something briefly online about how it was felt so far away because of the way the fault lines/plates are on the east coast

  • @pitpawten Lol bro. I'm just messing with you.

I've been in an earthquake (5.5) and shit my pants once. I just love seen "on your feet" adrenaline situations where people say funny stuff.

  • @pitpawten try being felt simultaneously from the Carolinas to Toronto, Canada. Now that is a shocker o:

  • @animefangirlxx you felt it in Toronto?

  • @tanrat7 yep.

  • @cali22089 sorry up here in Pittsburgh we never experience earth quakes. We are not equipped for them. Its like if a blizzard hit texas or california. No one would be ready, and probably no one would have school or work.

  • @Buckeyefan836 true, but this lasted 20 seconds, and the part where it was actually 5.8 was in the middle of an uninhabited forest in VA. Elsewhere was probably a 2.0

There was an earthquake last year, June 23rd 2010, which was definitely felt in Pittsburgh and all over the east. It originated in Ohio. People forgot about it a week later (or didn't notice it) as with this one. The US has between 5 and 10 thousand earthquaks per year, and they do indeed happen out east and in the midwest.

  • @cali22089 why not freak out a little after the shit thats happened here. Could have been a nuclear blast in another state. You dont know. Im from cali too and love the quakes. But to say Americans freak out over dumb shit is absurd. Like the top comment says, go to tornado alley and dont freak out

  • @golakers87 I agree that it's natural to freak out when something as random as a quake happens. But, my original comment just pointed out the hilarity of moments like this. I say funny shit too in adrenaline moments, but it's rarely caught on video. I think Americans in general do tend to freak out about things which the rest of the world would consider "miniscule," and we do tend to get offended very easily...that's no secret. That's just a cultural opinion I and many other Americans hold.

  • blame it on Obama, throw in something about taxes, and then put a link for the tea party... brilliant.

  • It's the JEWS

  • My bad on the spelling iPhone autocorrect is one of a kind... Smh

  • 5.8 nothin cone to Socal.. U guys shiksa felt the 94' Northridge quakes u all would of cryed...

  • OMG the HORROR!

  • Haha, Cubicle people...

  • Earth quake.. * everyone * walks outside.. Smfh

  • lol it didnt even knock anything over -.-

  • its ok guys..virginia was having an orgasm

  • Lol I live in CaLiiii and we sleep through 5.8 through 6.5!!!!

Those are not bigggies for us..If your lucky you might catch them on a late night News cast saying we had (a small after shock or earth quake today)

Now a 7 's or greater wake's us up now..

  • Mike in pittsburgh, your on the air

  • Wow. Just when the earthquake started i farted.

  • The earthquake in japan was 44 000 times stronger in japan than in virginia

  • Some parts of Canada felt it :/

  • are u hiring? lol

  • Maryland felt it!!! A lot of people probably didn't know what to do. Only after the earthquake I thought to myself, "GET OUT OF THE HOUSE" lol, I was afraid it would start up again. I was not even sure it was an earthquake at first! Its very rare over here.

  • it really hit the whole east coast in cali thats notin to us

  • the end is coming!! 2012 we are deaaaad!!!!

  • i cant tell if its the earthquake or your fucking hand shaking the camera

  • @lilweezyfbaby16 only the first 10 seconds or so are the earthquake, the rest was due to my horribly disfigured hand which I have a hard time grasping the camera with. I was only 12 when I had to run back into the burning orphanage to rescue my pet kittens. The doctors say my hand would have turned out better had I not also had to use it to shelter them from the molten acid that was leaking from the pharmaceutical company on the floor above. But thanks for noticing.

  • @pitpawten

    awesome reply lol :)

  • @pitpawten i love you for that comment thank you for making me laugh. doubt the guy felt it in texas probably a more of what you felt something. so did i omg.

  • 5.8 no son "earthquake" D:

  • my dad on long island was on the phone with a man in D.C. and 2 minutes later we were shaking

  • lmao, Rosy.

  • I hung those lights. Good thing they stayed in the ceiling:)

  • You are right, Rosie O'Donnell fell on the East Coast and caused the earthquake.

  • I live in maryland, and everything fell of the walls, we were so terrified :(

  • I thought the Rosie joke was funny as hell,

  • guess how it was in tokyo

it shaked 2 times of this

  • @521i Yeah, it was just some shaking of loose items here, nothing like in Tokyo. Probably a little more than 2x :)

  • @pitpawten Actually, a 9.0 Earthquake is not "double" a 4.5 Earthquake. Its now how it works. The Richter scale is logarithmic, meaning that whole-number jumps indicate a tenfold increase. That is, the wave amplitude in a level 6 earthquake is 10 times greater than in a level 5 earthquake, and the amplitude increases 100 times between a level 7 earthquake and a level 9 earthquake. The amount of energy released increases 31.7 times between whole number values. SO when you hear a 7.0 in Cali...

  • @piggywild Good info on the Richter scale, I was referring to the entirely subjective "shaking" scale though :) All we got was 30 seconds of shaking of lights and plants (probably equivalent to ~ 1-2 on the Richter scale?) since we were hundreds of miles away from the epicentre. That compared to the violent prolonged shaking we saw in Japan.

  • @piggywild I feel 6 all the time and i felt a 9 cuz i live in japan and it makes sense. It aint logarithmic. A 5 isn't 100 times more powerful than an 8. When you feel the shit its just like how u would think. a 6 is a little less than a 6.1 and it gets bigger as u move up. its not like a 7 is 100 times bigga than a 6.9. its a joke how people say an 8 is 1000 times bigger than a 6 or 7. It goes up logically.

  • not..the US quake was just 15 seconds according USGS and the one on Tokyo last 2+ minutes. Also it was stronger. A 2.0 degree quake is 30 times stronger than a 1.0 degree quake..u make the math.

I was on a 3+ minutes 7.4 quake..so that was just a tremor for other countries.

  • @521i Yeah well this is the east coast, not Japan or california. No one alive in this lifetime around here has felt an earthquake in these areas.. so dont go comparing to Japan when they are prone to quakes..

  • @521i for all uneducated fags, the Japenese earthquake was 100x stronger than this

  • @ArunVevo

    thnx 4 that

    because i was there
