I have dislexia and my mom was abusive she didnt teach me how to tie my shoes I learned it in school when I was 12 my teacher showed me. My mom wanted to get money off of me so she didnt show me alot of things....;/
Shame on her. I'm so sorry to hear that. The good thing is that now you can make your own choices and surround yourself with people who will care for you the way you deserve.
If you moved during the primary grades, you might have missed counting by 5's and 10's. Once you master that, counting money becomes much easier. See if that helps.
