  • This video on youtube gets more views every day than his actualy show does. Its really quite embarrassingly pathetic

  • (Liberal) Olbermann and (conservative) O'Reilly are two sides of the same political coin: fervent, passionate, and not all that bright.

  • ah-hah hah hah.... crazy man

The public option will do to health care what Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac did to mortgage banking.

  • I am getting so sick of all the sneaky and underhanded things that are being done to try and sway us from wanting health care reform. We need a Public Option Plan.

If you are still confused about the health care bill you may find the information on my profile in the comment section helpful. Also included are ways in which you can get more involved including phone #'s, petitions etc..

  • I think the Democratic party is far more organized in this fight than the Republican party is, smart

But, if you're an idealogue, you're only going to see the odious deeds of the opposition

  • I have no doubts what so ever as to what the outcome of this will be. The Dems are going to come out on top and we will get a public option. I just wish that our leaders on both sides would stick to the facts instead of all the BS so that people would be more informed. :)

  • Would you agree that emotion, esp fear, sways more easily than logic?

Anyway, I think reform is needed, but I fear the end result may do more harm than good. And none of the proposals I've seen are serious long term solutions, at least not helpful ones. Sad truth is, there aren't easy solutions

I've heard it suggested that Obama may create long term Dem majorities, a la, FDR. I suspect it's more likely he'll do for the Dems what Bush did for the Republicans, and that's not good

  • I think that for a moment fear does sway logic which explains why people bought all the lies like the death panels and crap for a moment.. once hearing the truth though which was more logical 3 out of 4 people support the public option. I think that doing nothing at all will be a bigger downfall than anything we could possibly try to do. In my opinion the public option is the only way to go. It will not be perfect nothing ever is but it will be a good start to fixing what needs fixed.

  • Well, I don't agree at all with a public option, but it's likely to happen.

I don't know if you've ever spent much time in Canada, but I have. Their health care is not better than ours, imho.

The fact that many countries with a public option live longer is no indicator of the kind of health care they receive--a major problem in the USA is obesity and lifestyle, problems which will not be solved by government, but rather individuals, or not at all

    Just my .02

  • I can respect your opinion but we will have to agree to disagree on some points. You are right people have to change their lifestyle if they want to prevent some illnesses. Many of the major illnesses however are not related to weight. Not to mention the insurance companies should not be able to do the things they do. They drop people all the time raise rates and they very much come between you and your doctor.

  • I actually agree with every statement you just made
