Do not know if anyone else commenting is from the South...but let me break it down for you. I lived through the "Southern Rock" phase...a few decent bands but too many crappy outfits all trying to cash in on the Allmans. (who were not "Southernrock, just a hard R&B outfit that happened to be from GA). SouthernRock was ersatz, mostly crap. BUT DBT is the REAL DEAL. Comparing Skynerd to DBT is like comparing instant coffee to moonshine. No fads, just honest gritty tunage. The Best in the south
